Austin Protests Planned After Ferguson Decision (TX)

Later Tuesday in Austin, people are planning to protest the grand jury's decision not to indict the Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson for shooting and killing Michael Brown.

Occupy Austin put out a message on Twitter promoting a rally in front of the Austin Police Department at 6 p.m. Tuesday, less than 24 hours after a peaceful protest that stretched late into the night Monday. "I can't tell you how many times here cops have been brought in front of the grand jury and exonerated," said Harrington. "And that's not the function of the grand jury to exonerate them. The function is: is there enough here to go to trial? For any other member of the community they're just routinely indicted and sent to trial."

There were a couple of young gals across from Whole Earth in Austin trying to get me to sign a pro-choice petition. I got in their face telling them they were baby killers and should be ashamed of themselves. The shock on their faces was priceless! What, let facts get in the way of what they’re protesting about and not think there are opposing points of view? Austin is so Berkeley now.

Yes, most cases presented to a grand jury result in an indictment.

The difference here is the publicity and lies forced the prosecutor to present a case he would not have ordinarily. Most prosecutors only go to the grand jury on cases where they think they can not only establish probable cause but win at trial.

Figures that Austin Marxists believe everyone should be able to try to kill a cop without any consequences.

Pray America is waking

Thanks for this link. I’m sharing.

Seems as they are boycotting “Black Friday” shopping...

Wow! Holiday shopping will be enjoyable and maybe even crime free this year!

Quite the organized protest, isn’t it?

Even in CA and NY there were only a few marches, some arrests and very minor disturbances.

There was a protest of less than 20 people in San Francisco for a little while. Much larger turnouts for protests about reservations for soccer play at local parks. In other words, a yawn.

If ya’all didn’t have large scale looting, rioting and arson last night, don’t expect any anywhere else except maybe Ferguson, MO.

There will be issues in the country in the future, but it certainly will not be over this stupid race baiting issue.

Dear Black America,

Get a grip, get your kids home and give thanks for what you have.

You bet.

It was relatively quiet everywhere outside St. Louis area last night.

Certainly not what the black racist, America haters and assorted extreme leftist anarchist wanted...

Do these morons actually ever listen to what they say? Calling him a moron is granting him an status he really doesn't posses. This guy is almost stupid enough to be a Beckel adviser. I say almost.

Austin protests will be very polite.

Our imported Los Angeles Chief of Police lets his guys kill pretty much at will.

I kid you not. There was a protest of a couple hundred people, almost turned ugly, over use of a park soccer field between latinos and whites in SF a couple months ago. City Hall caved in to the latino demands, even though whites had reserved the field and paid a fee for it. Latinos got it for free. Fewer and fewer blacks in SF. As for Austin, I travel there from time to time and it looks more liberal than Berkeley, not what you would think about Texas.

ROFL. That thing can't even clear out the parking lot at Lambeau Field.

They’ve added more cities. Austin wasn’t on the list last night. Was surprised it wasn’t since it’s the worst eviro/hippy/lib/RAT city in the state.
