Watch for a heavily edited interview.

I have supported Darren Wilson from the start and I likely will continue to support him, But-— talking to ANYONE with MSM was foolish, especially George Stephanopoulos.

Read the actual transcript of Officer Wilson for the true facts unlike the lies from the media including Stephagapolis.
What with dinner break and grandchildren, it took all evening to get that thing read. Lots of stuff there; it should be posted as a standalone thread and picked apart by FReepers.

Bottom line, IMHO:

  1. Officer Wilson testified that the two guys walking on the centerline were impeding vehicular traffic, and he told them they should get off the street.

  2. Brown blew him off with the F bomb. Wilson caught sight of the cigarillos, and confirmed in his outside rear view mirror that Brown’s accomplice was wearing a black shirt - thus confirming in his mind that the two might be the ones who precipitated the “strong arm robbery” complaint.

  3. Wilson put in a quick call for backup, and wanted to delay Brown & accomplice. He backed up the car to block their path.

  4. Wilson found himself in a desperate struggle to avoid being knocked out and to keep Brown from entirely gaining control of Wilson’s weapon.

  5. As it was, Wilson felt that Brown was in control of the weapon tho it was in Wilson’s hand.

  6. Even when Wilson was able to try to fire his weapon, it misfired twice, then fired, then misfired again and and Wilson had to cycle the slide.

  7. Wilson then fired again at Brown out the window, without looking where he was aiming because he was protecting his eyes from Brown’s blows.

  8. After the second shot Brown started running away. Wilson, expecting backup within seconds, wanted to maintain contact in order that Brown could be apprehended - and he didn’t act passively because if he did and another officer made contact with Brown, such officer could easily fare even worse than Wilson himself had.

  9. Wilson challenged Brown to get on the ground, Brown seemed to become enraged, turned, and charged, ignoring all warnings and shots until the last shot instantly felled him.
IOW, Officer Wilson’s testimony implied that he might just as well have been singlehandedly dealing with Rodney King.

Only way to be interviewed is live. Give them a chance to edit all the sense out of your comments, and you are dead meat.

“at least three Chicago Police Officers had a confrontation with “unarmed” offenders. In all three cases, the unarmed offender became armed when he gained control of the officer’s firearm and killed the officer with his own firearm.
