Nixon is just another spineless, brainless Dim. He’s the same guy who was demanding a conviction of Officer Wilson back in August, long before the grand jury began to weigh the evidence. Nixon is also the same politician who let the “yuts” run wild before he called out the state police, and put a PC officer in charge of the security effort.
If the Brown incident had occurred in Texas or another state with a competent Republican governor, the violence and looting would have never occurred. The grand jury decision would have been released at mid-morning, after schools were closed and an overwhelming police and national guard presence were deployed onto the streets, with nothing tolerated beyond peaceful, orderly protests.
But Nixon had to pander to a key element of his base by letting the protestors run wild, and you’ll probably see the same thing again tonight. For the record, the Missouri National Guard was held at the local command center while parts of Ferguson, Florissant and other towns burned down. I was listening to KMOX Radio (St Louis) early this morning and the mayor was pleading for Nixon to put the National Guard onto the streets.
I haven’t followed St. Louis politics in a long time, but the city and county are heavily Democratic. It’s the place the Dims go in close elections to keep the polls open and locate “missing” votes. Virtually all of the elected leaders are Democrats and they’re now screaming for Nixon’s scalp—and rightfully so.
It’s reminiscent of the Gulf Coast after Katrina. In New Orleans, you had the “Chocolate City” Mayor, Ray Nagin, and the equally incompetent governor, Kathleen Blanco. Collectively, Nagin, Blanco and their clueless minions were responsible for the disaster that claimed so many lives. Neighboring Mississippi was hit even harder, but there was almost no looting, larger because Haley Barbour mobilized the National Guard and announced that looters would be shot on sight.
This is not difficult.
Simple deployment in riot gear without firearms would have sufficed. The Ferguson police could have done the firearms duty.
There weren’t a lot of rioters, just a few hundred it seems, of which a minority were semi-serious trouble. The NG could have easily outnumbered them.
Step 1 - Curfew
Step 2 - Roadblocks
Much of the problem was that the looters/vandals were rushing from location to location in their cars.
Step 3 - Guards at business premises. Freeing up the PD to arrest the violent.
Step 4 - Detainee cage operation/guards, again freeing up the PD.
A friend of mine and I were chatting back and forth watching what was unfolding in Ferguson last night and both of us were wondering the same thing, where was the National Guard. We both suspected the democrat leadership wanted the tantrum to go on.
I’m not even a citizen of Missouri but that made me furious watching fellow citizen’s property be destroyed for what, a political show?

I believe in both cases Blanco and Nixon were getting their marching orders from DNC Headquarters, and in Nixon’s case straight from Holder himself.
Ferguson protest leaders requested the National Guard stay off the streets and away from the protesters.....they got what they asked for.
Unless you are willing to issue ammunition, clearly define the rules of engagement (which does not include being a brick-magnet), and accept responsibility for the consequences if and when it turns ugly, then you have no business deploying them.
I’m just gonna say this. As much as I did not care for him personally, J. Edgar Hoover would have never allowed crap like this to happen.
Blanco was stupid enough to not need to feign incompetence, so I doubt that the DNC did anything.
In this case, I don’t know. Someone made the Gov. and the county stand down. Its natural to suspect it was the Feds.
Whether this was done to create a riot or a misguided attempt to prevent one I cant say. Possibly the thinking was that a large military presence would tick off the Dem “base” as being oppressive. In many ways this was a touchy situation for the administration as they could fail either way.
The result seems to be a huge political embarrassment for the Dems.
They did, and that may explain why the Feds leaned on Nixon.
A grave miscalculation on their part.
Violence like we saw last night cannot be repeated, he[Nixon] said.
Of course it can. It will be repeated tonight on a bigger scale. Watch and learn.
Somebody teach the ignorant governor the difference between “cannot” and “shouldn’t”.
Where is the enforcement of the Law in Missouri? Can the business owners sue the state government for not protecting their property?
It will because YOU ENCOURAGED IT, YOU MORON!
.......I watched the entire episode last night live and I can unequivocally state that unresponded to fires were burning a long time before there was any gunfire heard.
This begs the question “are the liberals in charge parroting this lie through the media in order to deflect criticism for their “overt” decision to “let property burn” so as not to confront these punks thereby risking injury or death to the poor little boys getting their lives back together by stealing from others???. I was reading this was their plan at least a week ago.
These men (Holder and Obama) are communists! Notice no government buildings burned! The bastards were just being true communists by not giving a damn about “private” property. That’s basic 101 to them!
This “let the property burn” tactic could not have come from anywhere else BUT Holder and Obama and Jarrett.
Can’t disagree...Nixon had ample resources from the National Guard, and they stayed at the command center.
BTW, it’s too bad that Navy vet lost his job at the Drury Inn in the St. Louis area after photographing all those federal law enforcement vehicles in the hotel parking garage. It would be interesting to know where those federal agents were last night.
And then there was the call-in theorist on talk radio suggesting the WH and DOJ were fomenting a national uprising of sufficient proportion that Obama could call for a national state of emergency and assume even more power.
The damage has been done already.
Nixon should resign.
Massive failure of leadership.
The sad part... we had weeks to prepare in Ferguson.
America.. the land of "can't git 'er done"
You only needed a single glance at the new “World Trade Center” to get a very clear picture of the new “Can’t Do” America.
Now why did they give them their time????.... and who had enough pull to arrange it?...let alone put in the mind of Brown's mother to even take her case to the UN? ...There's no way on earth she thought of that on her own.
In taking this to the UN she was by-passing 'our government' system of justice to an International Entity before it had even gotten to first base, or anything was determined. ( that's Treason)
So the question is who wants to make this a 'GLOBAL' and stoke the "fires" burning ..and for what political outcome?..or distracting from what? and why this?
The parents stated purpose of being there was to tell the committee that the shooting of their son by a Ferguson officer, and the tactics used by police against protesters after the shooting,......" violate the UNs policies" against torture"...Further the US had to defend their position against these accusations...of which protesters ,further demonstrating,...walked out as the US made their defense. Now what sort of dog and pony Show was all that? and who were the US representatives defending these accusations? (Makes you wonder who from the US was represented in that show?)
They asked Brown's mother why she brought her case to the UN...her voiced reply.... We need the world to know whats going on in Ferguson and we need justice"....Were trying to get 'a message across' and thats part of the reason why were in the UN as well.
They asked Michael Brown Sr. if he would take the streets to protest if there is no indictment.....he stated...Yea Cause the fight would not be over
Brown's parents attempts at understanding what is going on in the folders placed before them
