I don’t think the Guard was needed. And, if Holder wanted it held back it will be the only time in this decade that I agree with him.

This was one of the wimpiest riots in a long time.

A strong National Guard presence would have made it look like a very repressive government was putting its boot on the neck of the citizens...

No it would have been a government that respects the property of business owners, and doesn’t let the thugs rule.

The repressive government is controlled by the allies of the rioters - in DC and across the US. They threaten violence, and get catered to. They riot because it works, and it isn’t punished.
