Jim Miklaszewski kept it relatively diplomatic, declaring "there's something amiss here." But Joe Scarborough was blunt: "boy, that's damning," said the Morning Joe host. They were characterizing Miklaszewski's description of the Obama administration's "micromanagement" of the Department of Defense in which communication flows only in one direction: from the White House to the Pentagon.
On today's Morning Joe, NBC's Pentagon correspondent reported that former SecDefs Robert Gates and Leon Panetta had recently "lambaste[d]" that micromanagement.

In many ways this is a repeat of the micro management of the Vietnam war by President Lyndon Johnson and Defense Secretary Robert McNamara. The military, who had the most to lose, had the least to say.
The crimes and mis-management by the Obama admin has been piling up high and deep. Is this a sign the MSN dam is begining to crack?

Our new SecDef will concur whole-heartedly that muslims are not the enemy. Smart money is on Kerry with his excellent negotiating skills which he has shown during the never ending Iranian negotiations, and could easily do the same with ISIS. Sharpton is still a long shot.
However, there are some who favor the female approach, but then muslims would not negotiate with them. So Jarret, Harf, Warren, and Powers may not be in the running.
Whomever Our Great And Wondrous Leader picks will have been thoroughly vetted by the Mullahs and Jarret will successfully promote that choice to Him.
Our new SecDef will be able to put the Mil in its place at the tail-end of the Fed Budget, downsizing the Mil to a more manageable European proportion, while reflecting the true American diversity model.
Mil INTEL is not needed as it is an oxymoron at best. NSA is perfectly capable of keeping tabs on US citizens, therefore there is no need to duplicate the effort. The money saved can be used to feed the homeless, give them WiFi, and so forth.
All of this will be cleverly concealed in the usual media double-speak which the American public finds so intriguing and informative, stupid as they are. Our Great And Wondrous Leader will once again have shown the foresight and leadership everyone has come to accept.

Anyone with a military past or any sense at all knows the Obamaites hate the military and would like to see it destroyed. This is a hold over from the Vietnam era. Those in the streets then are in the White House and seats of power now. If they tell you they care about military families or soldiers, they are lying.
He’s gone through three defense secretaries in six years. That tells you quite a bit about the situation. Bush has one through six years in a much more tumultuous time.
As one of the pundits observed, when George W. Bush made a national security decision, debate within the staff stopped and everyone fell in line. With Zero, the decisions are made by a select few at the White House—who have little expertise or competence in the field—and inputs from the Pentagon are not welcome. When you push back a little too hard, you find yourself next to the POTUS, who is announcing your retirement.
The most likely candidates to replace Hagel (Michelle Flournoy and Ashton Carter) are unimpressive. Both are Democrat policy hacks who worked their way up the food chain. Neither served in uniform, but they will certainly toe the administration line, while wasting time (and resources) on various PC issues.

Look for Obama to speak with someone who has a relative in the media or a major donor. The SecDef position is going to be like the Ebola Czar; manage the message not the Generals.

Hey, the Ebola Czar has done a great job! The MSM has hardly said two words about Ebola since he took over, so I guess he did his job and stopped the epidemic in its tracks! /s
