New York Times Publishes Darren Wilson’s Address Info As Ferguson Simmers
International Business Times ^ | November 24, 2014 | Connor Adams Sheets

The New York Times published information about the address of Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson on Monday in a move that has generated controversy. Tensions are running high in Ferguson, Missouri, as the world awaits a St. Louis County grand jury’s decision on whether to indict the white policeman for the Aug. 9 shooting death of unarmed black teen Michael Brown.

Wilson received death threats after he was identified as the officer who shot Brown, and as community members and activists plan to protest if he is not indicted, the location of his home could potentially endanger him, his new wife, and his property if the protests result in violence, some of his defenders say. Wilson’s home address is a matter of public record, and it has been published in numerous media reports beginning in August.

But printing his street name in the nation’s most influential newspaper on the day the grand jury is expected to hand up a decision on the indictment could reignite interest in -- and awareness of -- the location, and some critics worry that it could result in protesters descending on his home. Slate even went a step further than the Times, publishing an article featuring a photo of the modest, red-brick house on Monday....

And what the heck was their motive?

I am certain that the people responsible for publishing the info wouldn’t want their addresses made public.

This was done with utter malice and is completely unjustifiable. The Left is fomenting civil war.

I would not move if he were my neighbor.
That’s my house. I live there. I will protect it.
Nothing good ever happened in this nation by men running from danger.

"We recently published Darren Wilson's home address, but we erred. Mr. Wilson's correct home address is 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC 20500. We regret any inconvenience caused."

No address was published in the NYT, just the street name, which was published by the local news folks there some time ago.

And what the heck was their motive?

To yell "Fire!" in a crowded race riot.

Gee, I hope I don’t happen to spill my coffee on the NYT when I buy my Wall St. Journal tomorrow.

I understand $500,000 has been raised for Officer Wilson. Hopefully he and his family can find something nice outside of Ferguson. In addition, I hope his attorney is putting together a nice lawsuit against the deep pockets of the NYT.

It does not matter. There is absolutely no justification for publishing. This information is not of any news value, rather it is expressly provided knowingly by the Left as their means of contributing to the mob.

No address was published in the NYT, just the street name, which was published by the local news folks there some time ago. No use in putting the number. Rioters won't be able to count that high anyway. They can just burn the whole street down.

Good example.

The NYT might be liable, too.

Oh, as cover, they’ll probably fire the persons or persons who did it. But that still makes them liable for damages (whatever it may be).
