actually he was restrained ... because with the congress unwilling to check his power... he has basically UNLIMITED power. HE could have declared everyone living in central and south america citizens and issued them us passports tomorrow and gotten away with it!

Obama said that he has "been very restrained with respect to immigration" and has "bent over backwards and will continue to do everything I can to get Congress" to pass a more permanent and comprehensive executive amnesty bill.

******

Obama says he has been "restrained with respect to immigration"?

He's been "restrained" alright. He was so "restrained" that until his recent executive action, he has done nothing in the past 6 years to curb or solve the illegal immigration mess. He couldn't or wouldn't even enforce the immigration laws already on the books.

Obama needs to be "restrained" further: how about restraining him by putting him in a straitjacket for the mentally ill until he has to leave office in two years?

“Been very restrained in respect to immigration.”

That statement is on the same level of arrogance as “I have been patient”.

The illegal immigrants had better take advantage of this latest largess now as I doubt that at a minimum new applications will not be allowed after Obama leaves office. For now the path to permanent resident status and citizenship for these people is blocked for years.
