Like Obama, this thug has no respect for the rules.

I have no sympathy for Winston, but in that situation what was he supposed to do? Get out of the way, ref.

I’m not a fan of Winston, but the incident didn’t appear to be malicious, and I thought it was funny. He was focused on getting the play. I’m sure by now that he has been told he screwed up.

Keeping play from starting after the FSU substitution. IOW, exactly what he was supposed to do.

Shoving a ref is like laying hands on a cop. Ref should have thrown a flag and ejected Crab Legs.
But, like Bama, Free Shoes U gets to use a different rule book.

clueless ref what was he doing in the formation The article was pretty clear about it. The offence made a substitution so the official held up the play for sufficient time to allow the defence to also substitute players. I don't know if that was actually true because I didn't see the substitution, but you aren't allowed to both switch players and run a quick snap.

I didn’t see a shove, I saw him put a hand in the ref’s armpit

It happens all the time. You may not have noticed since the players usually wait for the ref to get clear before starting the play. The QB got impatient.

This QB is the NCAA’s version of Obama. The excuses are so lame it is pitiful. He should have been tossed from the game.
To: yldstrk
The only thing the ref can be faulted for is not standing over the ball, as they usually do. There is no excuse for a player to deliberately initiate contact of any kind with an official.

This QB is the NCAAs version of Obama. True that.

After an offensive substitution, whether the offense has gotten into formation or not, the defense is given a short time to respond to that substitution. It’s usually such a short delay as to be unnoticeable.
