'We Will Not Engage': Michele Bachmann Reveals GOP Plans to Ignore Executive Amnesty

Breitbart News Executive Chairman Steven K. Bannon asked the congresswoman, who was a guest on Breitbart News Saturday Sirius XM Patriot channel 125, “Has there been any firm commitment from the leadership of the Republican party saying that this amnesty is not going to happen?” Bachmann replied with a question, “Do you want the truth? Okay, I’ll tell all of Breitbart listeners what happened this week. I was floored!”

In the weekly meeting called “Republican Conference” in the House of Representatives, “we all knew that the big issue for the week was going to be the president announcing his amnesty,” she explained. Bachmann recounted that all of the leadership went to the microphone, including John Boehner.

“They acted as though the amnesty issue wasn’t even an issue. They said that the President is going to do what he’s going to do, and we are not going to get down in the mud with him. We are not going to engage, and what we are going to do is to talk about our positive solutions on jobs, the economy, education, and manufacturing,” Bachmann said.

She added that each congressman who spoke reiterated that not engaging Obama and staying positive was a “brilliant strategy.”

Exactly. He has control of the executive agencies. I was waiting for someone to bring this up. No EO, therefore it can't be revoked, even in 2016.

I have to agree with JRandomFreeper on this one, and maybe another FReeper can help me out with my take on this,
but the only instruments that I found which Zero signed on 21-Nov-2014 were two very vague Presidential Memoranda and NO EXECUTIVE ORDERS.

Further more none of the memos remotely resembles what he outlined in his speech on 20-Nov-2014.

Methinks, Obama and the GOPe are trying to "Gruber" us, since it is clear that Obama is flat out lying (again) about what he is actually doing, but far more troubling is that the GOP leadership is going along and not calling him on it.

So he established a Task Force to give their recommendations. Presumably, the Task Force will recommend handing out the phony ID documents, that will allow illegals to buy, sell, and rent properties; apply for jobs; open bank accounts and utility accounts, which will serve as further ID proof; get driver’s licenses; and vote wherever the Board of Elections is not vigilant.

I’m guessing his crack legal team advised him to stay away from the deportation issue, since that involves breaking the law. But how are these evil little “documents” breaking the law? Have his lawyers guided him to an area that is not covered by the law? After all, de Blasio is already doing this in New York City.

The only illegal action will be by the employers, and with the little certificate in existence, does that become a trickier court case than it is now?

Almost Jesuitical. If I’m wrong, legal experts, please tell me. My cousin hates when I say “I’m not a lawyer but . . .” I’m just sincerely interested in figuring this out.

Ok I'm trying to understand this “no executive order, we've all been had” line of argument. How does it benefit Obama to lie, and what specifically is he lying about? If there is no EO, then is he not still granting de facto amnesty and few, if any, deportations? I can see how nothing has changed if there is no actual EO, but why is it so crucial to have the physical “document” in order for you to believe that this was not a setup?

THE GOP is doing what will huirt Obama most: Ignore him.

Obama wants to create insurgents in America, and use them as cannon fodder to battle the majority of America, invoke martial law and postpone elections indefinitely.

This may change when the Obama/Holder/Sharpton instigated minority violence begins, and the People fight back.The question is whether the federal Insurrection Act will be used to declare martial law and postpone all elections, thereby ending the grand experiment of the free American Republic.

Answering these questions out of order, Obama benefits if he can get over 5 million Undocumented Democrats amnesty.

So you second question is what everybody here is having issues about, since it he (Obama) has not issued any official orders or actions which remotely resemble what he has said he was going to do, yet the Republicans are inexplicably acting as though he did, instead of taking the logical path of calling his bluff, and destroying any remaining credibility he has left.

How does one ignore an executive order that blatantly ignores the law while millions are here illegally and tens of thousands more will be encouraged to flout it....

"How"? Well, it's a process. You have to, first of all, be a little sissy who has no ba**s. Then you have to get yourself elected to the U.S. Congress/Senate as a Republican and once you accomplish that, you join up with the GOP Elites who show up at the White House every morning to give Obama a good morning kiss on his a**.
