Hollow words from politicians.
Congress has already done its job. There are laws on the books to deal with immigration. Those laws are not being enforced.
I called my rep and senator (Burr, not Hagan!).
Without 67 votes in the Senate, it’s all hot air.
The only thing that changes with the new Congress regarding legislation is instead of dying on Harry Reid’s desk, it will die on 0bama’s instead.... Barring enough votes to override a Veto, which is HIGHLY unlikely!
At least four Democratic senators say they oppose President Obamas
executive order stopping the deportation of five million illegal immigrants:
-
Our immigration system is broken, and I support a comprehensive plan to fix it,
but executive orders arent the way to do it
...said Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill.
-
I am as frustrated as anyone that Congress is not doing its job,
but the president shouldnt make such significant policy changes on his own
...said Indiana Sen. Joe Donnelly.
-
I disagree with the Presidents decision to use executive action
to make changes to our immigration system,
and I disagree with the Houses decision to not even take a vote
on the bipartisan Senate legislation that overwhelmingly passed in June 2013
...said West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin.
-
Im disappointed the president decided to use executive action at this time
on this issue, as it could poison any hope of compromise or bipartisanship
in the new Senate before it has even started.
Its Congress job to pass legislation and deal with issues of this magnitude
...said North Dakota Sen. Heidi Heitkamp.

“Our immigration system is broken” - as if there is some disfunction in the law. The law is not enforced, which is entirely different from a law which does not function properly.
Administrative nonfeasance is the problem.
They’re just covering their azzes. They got it made living in DC and will say whatever it takes to sooth the voters.
As if Claire Mccaskill cares about about a flood of illegals who will vote Democrat some day along with their anchor babies. She always lies and is hideous to boot.
Channeling your inner Kagan and Landrieu there ObamaClaire?
The infamous senate bi-partisan plan only had 14 republican votes.
Of course there is that little disclaimer that he will do it to the "best of his ability".
Call it the Incompetent's Clause.
Tar, feather, repeat, til they get their minds right.
Gonna vote for impeachment, Claire?
Let’s see some ACTION!! Especially after Jan 23!!!
Donnely has marched in lock step with Obama and Reid since he got there.
Four posers.
It was Reid who blocked the Secure the Border amendment to the Gang of Eight's bill. Blame dirty Harry.
