The protests in Ferguson, Mo., on Friday night grew larger than previous days’ gatherings of protesters, despite the rain and cold weather. Police officers used a megaphone to ask protesters to leave the street outside the Ferguson Police Department or they would be arrested. In this video, protesters responded by chanting ”F— the police” and shouting “We don’t give a f— about your laws like you don’t give a f— about our lives.” Warning: Video contains foul language.

Protesters then moved to West Florissant Street and blocked traffic in front of a McDonald’s restaurant and chanted, “Who shut sh– down? We shut sh– down!” Warning: Video contains foul language.
The employees working inside of the 24-hour McDonald’s restaurant were so frightened that they locked the doors and temporarily closed the store until protesters moved down the street.
The protesters meanwhile did not seem nearly as concerned about potential violence, and some even brought their children to help block traffic.
A grand jury’s decision to indict police officer Darren Wilson, who is suspected of shooting 18-year-old Michael Brown, could come at any moment. Residents and law enforcement alike are preparing for a worst-case scenario that could include the loss of life as a result of violent protests.

I’d rather use a deck gun mounted on a 1500 gpm pump equipped fire truck to hose them ... literally. That’s a whole lot of pressurized water. Pumps are tested at 300 psi.

Newbie here. American of Italian descent, as are the majority here in Staten Island, NY. We would LOVE for rule of law to be suspended just for a day or two...a lot of Obama’s “sons” would meet their maker.
Is if any wonder those in power are shafting the black Americans and bringing in foreigners to take the jobs etc instead ? Expect these (unfortunate in several ways) trends to accelerate if the people in ferguson keep acting this way
Protesters, “Stay the course”.....as I said a few weeks back........Barak Obama. You remain consistently in my camp and political philosophy.
I think the poll would need to be local to the St Louis area and maybe north STL in particular to get evenly divided. And there would naturally be a lot of support for the “gentle giant” on the Illinois side of the river, too. Namely, East STL. Those people are used to bombed out looking buildings and wouldn’t have a problem trashing businesses and neighborhoods in Ferguson.
I grew up 70 mi south of STL and have family all over the state. I am not hearing anyone cohesive with the cause of the thugs in the areas I am familiar with. I think it is safe to say that this “cause” has drawn concentrated support from all over.
