Local Politicians Rally In Support Of Obama’s Immigration Policy

U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez Saturday challenged Chicago’s undocumented community to “set the standard” for registration under President Obama’s executive orders.

“This isn’t complicated,” Guiterrez (D-Ill.) said to a receptive crowd at Benito Juarez High School. “Ever church will be a designated site. Every community college will be a designated site. Every school will be a designated site. Every health care center will be a designated site.”

He said his goal was to provide training “for not hundreds but thousands of people so that millions can reach justice in this country.”

Yet Gutierrez said executive action by the President is not in itself enough. He called Republican critics of the action “whiners” and challenged them to pass a comprehensive immigration bill before the President’s executive orders take effect.

“It’s 180 days,” he said. “You have January, February, March, April, May and June. Stop whining. Stop crying. You have a majority. Use it for the American people and we will be appreciative.”

U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) echoed Gutierrez and said the President’s action, while historic, is not the last word.

“He would be the first to tell you we want more,” Durbin said. “We want comprehensive immigration reform to reach out with justice to the millions who deserve this opportunity in America.”

Durbin said he “will not rest” until an immigration bill is on the President’s desk.

The Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights hosted the rally and a question-and-answer workshop for community organizations afterward.

Its chair, Maria Pesquiera, called Mr. Obama’s action “a major benchmark in the fight for immigrant rights.”

“Millions of people will be able to breathe a little easier knowing they will not be separated from their loved ones,” she said.

Undocumented Juarez graduate and college freshman Clemencia Garcia told the crowd it is a big moment for her, her three younger sisters and her undocumented parents.

“Obama’s executive order on immigration has given the undocumented community great hope in this country,” Garcia said. “Knowing that my parents won’t have to face deportation and leave behind three underage daughters who are citizens of this country is very gratifying.”

Representatives from the Asian-American community said hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants of Asian heritage will be helped as well.

Lame duck Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn attended the rally but did not speak. He was thanked by several speakers for his efforts on behalf of the undocumented, such as making Illinois driver’s licenses available and refusing to cooperate with federal Secure Communities initiatives.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel told the crowd “Chicago is ready,” but said, “Our work’s not done. This is the beginning.”

Emanuel drew a mixed reaction from the crowd. Some do not consider him a friend to the immigrant community and chanted in support of one of his February re-election challengers, Cook County Commissioner Jesus “Chuy” Garcia, who was acknowledged by others from the stage.

Nonetheless, Emanuel said, “I want Chicago to be the gold standard that achieves record numbers of relief and make sure that more and more people take advantage of this great opportunity the President has provided all of us.”

Gutierrez, who is a co-chair of Emanuel’s re-election campaign, picked up on that theme in his remarks.

“If they don’t do it right in LA, and they don’t do it right in New York, we’ll send volunteers from Chicago to make sure they get it right,” he said.

Pinal County, Arizona Sheriff Paul Babeu appeared on O’Reilly the other evening. I don’t watch O’Reilly very often as I feel he goes a bit overboard with the “Fair and Balanced” thing. But I’m glad I watched that show.

Sheriff Babeu made a comment that might have been lost on the casual observer but brought what’s left of my alleged brain to its feet.

According to the Sheriff, Obama’s immigration executive power grab will cover illegals who have been here for 5 years or more.

Sheriff Babeu, Joe Arpio in Maricopa County and many other law enforcement officials out there have a long and frustrating history with fedzilla that goes like this:
Deputies stop and detain suspected illegals. Suspected illegals produce documents indicating they have lived here for 5+ years. Deputies contact Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to report said illegals. ICE asks if illegals presented documents indicating 5 years of residency here. Deputy responds that they did. ICE tells deputies to treat illegals as they would AMERICAN CITIZENS! If no instant crime suspected or observed, the deputies are required to RELEASE the ILLEGALS. Do these overburdened law enforcement organizations have the resources or manpower to VERIFY the authenticity of these documents? I think you know the answer to that one!

When O’Reilly asked Babeu if his officers were presented “forged” documents in these encounters, the Sheriff laughed and responded “All the time”. The typically cunning and sinister nature of Obama’s unconstitutional, Cloward-Piven inspired action becomes obvious.

Obama’s immigration amnesty OSTENSIBLY covers only 4 to 5 million of the 11 to 20 million illegals now in the U.S.! That leaves approximately 6 to 16 million requiring DOCUMENTS necessary to “prove” their 5+ year residency. If you know your way around PhotoShop or similar software (and don’t give a damn that your actions would lead to the final destruction of the country!) at between $50 to $100 each, YOU could get rich producing phony lease/rental agreements, utility bills or other documents! Do the math: At an average of, say, $75 each, 16 million forged documents means there’s around $1.2 BILLION to be made!

BOTTOM LINE: Obama and his like-minded minions in government have effectively “legalized” all 20 million ++ illegals. Because he is doing NADA to secure the border, the ++ is to cover the millions more who will be coming in to line up at the fraudulent document production operations their friends already here will direct them to!

WET DREAMS OF ILLEGALS---TV news aired protestors in Murrieta, California turning away bus loads of unaccompanied minors, citing their concerns about public health (actions pre-dated child deaths from enterovirus and various Third World contaminates). American who dared speak out, were accused of fear-mongering and exaggeration by latinos.

At the La Raza conference in Cali (predates midterms)---Cong Luis Gutierrez (Dem-Ill) lacerated Republicans over amnesty; he threatened Republicans---saying vengeful latinos would make sure they never win another presidency. And who could forget the imbecilic Gutierrez strutting around, crowing about "having the House votes" to pass the Senate amnesty atrocity?

La Raza President/ and chief hater, Janet Murguia, told hyphenates that it sickened her to hear Americans chanting. She accused Murietta, Cali protesters of having "cloaked their hatred in patriotism" by shouting "'USA! USA!' again and again."

"It made me angry," she said. "In fact, I was outraged."

Murguia demanded amnesty and said the road to the White House for Republicans goes through the Latino community and La Raza. She also said Republicans who want to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program will not get Hispanic votes.

To help President Obama he new congress should pass (as individual bills) felony and immediate removal for illegal entry into the country and overstaying visa, mandatory e-verify for every statutory employee, fines and eventual criminal prosecution for employing illegal persons, felony and civil penalties for any identity theft used to defraud an employer or the IRS, meaningful audit of AFDC program and a fee on all remittances to Latin America and other countries.
