House Republicans sue Obama administration over health care law

Published November 21, 2014

House Republicans sued the Obama administration on Friday over its implementation of President Barack Obama's health care law, saying he had overstepped his legal authority in carrying out the program.

GOP lawmakers filed the lawsuit in federal district court in Washington the morning after Obama announced unilateral executive actions to expand protections for millions of immigrants who came to the U.S. illegally. While Republicans complained that Obama had unconstitutionally exceeded his powers with those actions, the suit filed Friday did not address immigration.

One Republican official said party leaders are considering amending the suit to include Obama's actions on immigration, a change that would require approval by the GOP-controlled House. The official spoke on condition of anonymity to describe internal Republican deliberations.

The problem is not no plan but rather too many plans

Until the lawyers are brought to heel, no plan will be truly effective.

A 90% tax on medical related legal fees would be a big help

Disband it - and force the Insurance Companies to be competitive!

It was a lie perpetrated on the US public - and deserve no place as legal law - very “Nazi-istic” in nature and show be outlawed immediately!

Every move Barry & his Boyz have made should be reversed come 2015!

There seems to be a consensus to send up stand alone bills: getting rid of the medical devices tax; moving the 30 hour work requirement to be covered up to 40 hours

Easy peasie. They don’t have to vote it down, because OBAMA would just Veto any bill concerning OBAMA CARE. All the need to do is don’t finance it. Take the money away OBAMA CARE, and it will die on the vine. Rather than fighting OBAMA on all those “LAWS” he and the liberal politicians passed, just take the money away from it. Every time OBAMA ask congress for money to do this or do that, congress will just say “NO”

Why should they have a plan, other than a plan to repeal the whole of Obamacare altogether? Let the states deal with healthcare. If they want a plan, let it be that health care and insurance should be able to do business freely across state lines. Since we pay fed taxes, bring out a plan for tax free/deductible health saving plans.

As an old insurance agent who specialized in health insurance, I read all these posts about “repeal and go back to what we had” and realize that the majority of those opposed to Obamacare simply do not understand the reality of what has been done by the leftists to our health care system.

We can’t go back. Those policies that have been cancelled under the new law are gone forever because no insurance company will reinstate them after this long a period in time. Why? Because there have been inevitable changes in the health of millions of folks that cannot be reversed or adequately underwritten in terms of costs or coverage. Obamacare threw out the baby (insured public) but it also threw out the bathwater (old insurance). Those policies are gone forever.

Could something similar to the coverage in those old policies be approved by the 50 state insurance commissions at this late? Maybe, if the companies requested a new policy form—but some of the Obamacare changes like insurance without regard to pre-existing conditions make it unlikely and if approved extremely expensive.

Total repeal is a pipe dream of those who simply don’t understand the basic mechanics of the insurance industry.

Obama will EO Obamacare and use the media to bully the GOP into compliance.

The precedent has been set this week.
The guy is King evidently, there is no process except his, unless both party’s in the Legislative branches wake up and see the two way street this opens up.

Then again, if Obama never leaves office (why should he) then all bets are off and the Left has their king and whitey pays the dues.

Damn ridiculous, somebody flame my ass.
