I would be remiss if I did not address the student’s behavior. A full review of the audio tape reveals the student was in fact disrespectful to the instructor. And when the instructor asked if she was being recorded, the student did not tell the truth.

I asked the young man about his behavior and he admitted to me that it was wrong. He told me that he “regretted” his actions.

It may be illegal, but it's not immoral. You do what it takes to defend a society. Rest assure the Left will not lose sleep over releasing secret recordings.

I have a better idea.

Complete separation of school and state! No interference! None!

Wishful thinking is not positive. In this political climate your wish as a hard demarcation will never happen. What I posted is a way to get there.

The plan I outlined is not wishful thinking and is already working. Vouchers, charters, and tax credits are increasing every year. Record numbers of children are be educated outside of the grip of our nation's K-12 single-payer schools. The reason is that pressure from the voting public has forced legislators to provide these alternatives. It will continue to grow.

In my state there has been a flood of children who are nowusing On-line programs. Yes, they are offered by the state but they are run by privately-owned companies.

What is needed is **less** control from state agencies and school boards and more opportunity to choose private alternatives. Do this and the reforms you seek will naturally follow, as well.

The communists furthered their goals gradually. Those supporting the Constitution can do so, as well.

Will we ever see complete separation of school and state? Likely not, but this should be the goal. If an arrow isn't pointed at the target it will never hit the bullseye.

The wishful thinking was the complete elimination of all public education in one fell swoop, as your post stated but perhaps was not what you meant:

I have a better idea.

Complete separation of school and state! No interference! None!

At least that is how I interpret a post like that, as not a means but a goal and completely unrealistic. As to vouchers as an intermediate step, Friedman proposed that fifty years ago and we're still not up to 5%. I'd call that an ineffective plan.

I’m so tired of these insane women.

In their zeal to attack the “patriarchy” they’ve done nothing but to undermine the strength of the Western society that has made their safe, comfortable lives possible.

They’re not gonna like how this could end.

What do leftists, which is what these "women" are, care about comfort, safety or the Western society? These leftists are against all of that. Ergo, why they work tirelessly to destroy it. My question is....why do we or have we conservatives, who do not want all of that destroyed, allowed them to do this for decades now? Why do we still let them get away with it? Why no major pushback?

Just get rid of liberal arts classes entirely.

...bad idea...really bad...what if in the future all physics instructors became raving lefties...you’d want to ban physics as well...?

...just because the messenger is a jerk doesn’t invalidate the value of the message...

Gradually, parents should be expected to pay for schooling.

...are you suggesting that parents do not pay for public schooling now...in addition to myself, who do not even have a child in the school system...?

...the price I pay for living in the house I choose feeds the gaping public school maw...

( Please read the last sentence of this post.)

Ten years ago, in my state there were less than 10 charter schools. Today there are over 100. That is explosive growth. All are privately owned and run. That is hopeful news to me and definitely on the trajectory toward privatization of the delivery of education. There is tremendous demand for these charter schools and the waiting lists are HUGE!

Specifically, what are your goals for children?

My goal is to improve educational outcomes. I suggest that to do that there must be:

-— an increase in freedom of choice for all parents in the education of their children,

-—a reduction in the number of teachers in this nation that are members of a union and their influence over the political process in this nation. One of the most effective ways to do this is to reduce the number of children in the nation's K-12 single-payer and socialist-entitlement schools. Fewer kids in the single-payer schools means few teachers and union dues.

— and a decrease government interference in education on every level from the federal government down to the town levels. Thankfully, homeschoolers are proving that overall outcomes for children can be excellent without any interference by the government whatsoever. The evidence is plain for all to see among homeschoolers.

-—Vouchers, tax credits, and charters have already increased the private infrastructure and have increased private choices to parents.

Again, is complete separation of schooling and state likely? I agree with you. It probably is unrealistic but I suggest that we make this the bullseye. The move should always be toward this goal. Anything less than this an we may miss the target completely.

..are you suggesting that parents do not pay for public schooling now..
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I feel your pain about feeding the “SS school” monster.

Parents don't pay at the point of delivery of service. As it is now, when they drop their kid off at their local K-12 single-payer and socialist-entitlement school ( SS schools) the fee is “tuition-free”.

No citizen should be under police threat to pay for teaching children to think and reason godlessly in compulsory-use government schools whose worldview is solidly godless.

No citizen should be under the threat of losing their property at a sheriff sale to pay for schools that teach children to be comfortable with socialism. Gee! if the voting mob can give a child tuition-free schooling, isn't the child at risk of learning that this same mob can give them **lots** of “free” stuff?

Fundamentally, government SS schooling is a First Amendment, human rights, and freedom of conscience abomination.

Vouchers, charters, and tax credits are increasing every year.

The data you supplied were for charters only, after you had posted about vouchers, only in post 95. You have posted no data on the growth of vouchers, which has been pathetic. So you switched to the growth of charters as evidence of efficacy toward your goals. Charters are still publicly funded and don't have the freedoms they tout. They're better, but not close to enough.

Unless you have a plan to defund the machine while simultaneously providing alternatives that include adequate infrastructure, the machine will continue. This is why I am thinking in terms of privatizing the machine from within while weakening the funding mechanics of the political opposition and growing the replacement upon existing bases.
