In our system of government, having majority in House means almost zero power. The senate majority leader can put every bill passed by the house in the circular filing can. If the bill somehow gets through senate, Obama can veto it with his pen.
House can originate all the good spending bills it wants, they will never go anywhere before January 2015. When January 2015 comes around, and democrat Harry Reid is no longer the ML, only then we will know if GOP has any intentions of reigning in the ever expanding government.
So it is premature and showing insufficient knowledge of how the system works to castigate the GOP based on performance during the last 6 years. The House has passed dozens and dozens of conservative bills, everyone of them ended up in democrat Harry Reid’s circular file.
