Now for my “jealous” moment. I met Linda Harrison at a movie conference many years ago and got her to autograph the picture of her and Charles Heston on the horse at the end of the movie.
I told her I would love to get Heston’s autograph on it and she gave me his home address. I sent it and received it signed the day before he announced that he had Alzheimers. You could see it in his handwriting.
He was a great actor and an even greater American, unlike much of the crap coming out of Hollyweird today. He is missed.
Wow that sounds like a lot of stories I heard about him, he was an incredible human being. I use to work at Flushing hospital in New york city in the 1980s and a lot of hospital bills were taken care of by a ‘john Carter” which we always took as Heston.
The man was a mensch.
