I think there's a good chance. The IG did the recovery, not the IRS. I think there's a good chance the IRS doesn't really know what was on those tapes.

If the committee were smart, they'd ask for the RAW TAPES THEMSELVES and have the IT person extract Lerner's emails from them. This way, no tampering can occur with individual emails.

Ask for the tapes, not the Emails extracted from the tapes! The same IT person who has already extracted them, can extract them again from the tapes in the committee's possession.
