Having a photo on the card would be racist.

What, wouldn’t an executive order by the governor be good enough? It works for Obola.

If the cards have photos on them then how will you be able to sell them or even loan them out to friends while you are vacationing overseas?

Is there a statutory justification for denying funding because of these photos, or is this one of those “as the secretary shall determine” deals which amounts to legislation by petty bureaucrat?

I like this guy LePage, standing up to these fed bullies, for common sense policies. More governors ought to be like him.

Whatever they miss in Fed funding they’ll make up in reduced FRAUD.

What’s the downside?
1) Insist on picture IDs,
2) lose the federal funding,
3) stop the handouts (cause you got no money), and
4) your deadbeat class leaves (probably for the People’s Republic of MA)

I'm waiting for just one state to tell the Feds to go p!$$ up a rope when they threaten to suspend monetary funding if they don't toe the line. It's extortion plain and simple. From welfare funding to highway repair funding for emissions testing...it's all extortion.
Hopefully, LePage has the b@ll$ to stand up for what is right and lead Maine into the light.
