What may happen is after the illegals sign up and confirm their name and addresses; ICE will come in later to pick them up for deportation after obama’s illegal EO is shut down.

This may be the best program to round up illegals for deportation we have had in a long time. Since the 50’s really.

I note -— Obama didn’t exactly grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. He just said that henceforth the government wasn’t going to do anything about enforcing the law. Worried about being deported? Relax. “All we’re saying is we’re not going to deport you.”

The States who plan to sue Obama ( Texas and Oklahoma) will have a strong case in court because it is clearly who REFUSES to enforce the law he swore to uphold.

A driver’s license
even if this get turned over in Jan how many illegals will have gotten driver’s licenses and registered?

There is a difference between deferred action and affirmative action.

Using prosecutor discretion is using limited resources to prioritize certain crimes. It is subject to question when the government chooses to employ it as political discretion.

just take a look at California... that’s what is going to happen to this country.. full democratic control, and a full nanny state with over 1/2 the population either working for the goverment, or on the dole... with business leaving the country altogether.. corporate headquarters and all but 7/11 and starbucks, local grocery stores, etc... will be gone.

I don’t see how the feds can require states to issue drivers licenses. That would be covered by state law...

So far, I haven't seen anyone comment on how this action appears to contradict the 14th Amendment's Equal Protection Clause.

Here's what the Constitution says:
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

How can "prosecutorial discretion" possibly be allowed if there is supposed to be equal protection?

She is wrong beyond belief. This is what Congress is for. She should read the book “Inventing Freedom, How the English Speaking People Made the Modern World” by Daniel Hannan. People could benefit from reading this book. For example in England if the monarchy got out of hand like Obama; Parliament slapped him down which is exactly what they did. Maybe getting educated instead of just talking something will really get done for the benefit of America and it’s people.

DACA is the biden law that helps sneak in illegals who will be able to vote in coming elections

it’s yet another move to get more voters.

strangely, it’s only applicable to people from south america. people from northern europe do not count.

If I were a business owner, I would be asking my attorney about my liability if Herr Obama's waving of his magic pen and issuing a diktat purporting to make 5 million otherwise ineligible employees legal. The Immigration Reform and Control Act imposes a fine of up to $3000 per violation for hiring an illegal alien, as well as 6 months hard time. If the courts ultimately invalidate the diktat, as I think they must, is the business then subject to the penalties?
