Had to look up what a plug(ged) nickel was. I’ve heard it plenty of times, but never have taken the time to find out what one is.

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/plug_nickel

Some early United States coins (minted in the 18th and 19th centuries) were made with a small silver disc added to the center of the coin in the planchet (blank metal) before striking. This was done to increase the value of the metal in the coin up to the coin’s face value. A plug nickel or plugged nickel is a nickel (now a five-cent coin, but originally a one-cent coin and later a three-cent coin) where the “plug” (center disc) has been removed, thus decreasing the metal value of the coin. People would often examine their change after a cash transaction to ensure they did not receive such a coin.

He needs a witness protection program type of anonymity. Move to another state.

That's what I've been thinking he needs to do. The FBI should send him to another state with a new name.

He just needs to move where the public bus route doesn’t go to and he’ll be just fine.

What - not 'unarmed'? That's progress.

General heath measure - sobriety in particular. Because the other way

..who shot and killed unarmed teenager Michael Brown on August 9 ...

must be followed immediately by "Drink".

They should give him early retirement...

A pension after two years of service? I doubt that would amount to much.

Take the pension, write a book, and hit the talk show circuit.

And, move to Texas.

I doubt he's got enough time for a pension. I wouldn't be interested in a book about him, or Brown and his family for that matter. And what talk shows would he hit?

“This is the world we live in today: Defend your life get punished.”

Actually. . .

“This is the world we live in today: Defend your life against attempted murder from Holder’s people and get punished.”

Better, I think.

Word from LEO sources in the greater St. Louis area is that they are preparing for release of the grand jury results on Sunday. Time will tell.

Makes sense. Schools are probably closed next week for Thanksgiving so at least they don't have to worry about student safety if the sh*t hits the fan during the day.

If Wilson is cleared he has a right to return to work.

Unforunately, sadly, the Ferguson police have strong incentives to avoid that.

Which is why there are negotiations, and why Wilson actually has the upper hand in them. It wouldn’t surprise me at all that an immediate vesting of full pension (plus health benefits) based on a projected 20 years of service (rather than his actual 2) was part of the deal. Or perhaps a lump-sum payout based on estimated lost full career wages.

I hunk it’s 6 years. Just heard on Fox LA.

They could give him a medical retirement, no income tax. And a lump sum settlement against future claims.
Would be nice to see the city sue the pressure groups to recoup the costs of hiding this guy.

Maybe ask George Zimmerman if he knows any good hiding places.

I think George has proven beyond a reasonable doubt that he does not know of any good hiding places.

There is no way he could continue after this. I hope he is able to ‘retire’

Sharpton is announcing protests no matter what the result. IOW innocence is no defense. Guilty until proven guilty. Then, still guilty.

The is mainstream drive by media group think.

I doubt he'd get anything close to that. Rather than bite a financial bullet like that the Ferguson PD could easily cook up some procedural mistake Wilson made during the Brown shooting and dismiss him for cause. He'll remain on the force until it's clear he's off the hook in terms of any changes and then he'll resign.
