Neither Bush nor Romney will take any action inimical to the hordes of illegals and new legals. Either will invite more to come. And one of those two WILL BE the Republican nominee. We will not actually find out how one of these two would act as president.

You are correct...it is a matter of proportion. It would be fair to say well, I think we are not going to prosecute more than 1million, the courts would not sustain it. To say I decline to prosecute anyone is beyond proportional, it is wholesale avoidance of an enacted law. Meanwhile, the companion issue of worker cards is SOLELY the province of the congress. There is no discretion regarding how many will be issued. No lattitude in going overboard. A ceiling. to do so is outright failure to follow the oath of office and as such a high crime and he should be impeached.

...We live in a constitutional republic, and the president who says he cannot wait for the Congress to act ignores a Constitution that says he has to. Article I, Section 8 gives Congress exclusive authority to “establish a uniform Rule of Naturalization” and Article II, Section 3 says that it’s the president’s duty “to take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.”
The government shutdown in 2013 hurt the GOP so badly that they had a massive gain in control of Congress in 2014. Please, hurt me some more.
