Keith Ellison on Keystone XL Pipeline: Send it through Vancouver if it’s so great
washingtontimes.com ^ | November 19, 2014 | Tom Howell Jr.

One Democratic congressman is so opposed to the Keystone XL Pipeline that he wouldn’t vote for it even if his party got a minimum-wage bump from Republicans in exchange.

“I wouldn’t make that trade,” Rep. Keith Ellison, Minnesota Democrat, told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” of a hypothetical raise to $9.50 per hour.

Senate Democrats late Tuesday filibustered a measure to green-light the contentious oil pipeline from Canada to the Gulf Coast, potentially dooming the chances of party colleague Sen. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana and underscoring the power of the pro-environment caucus.

Republicans vowed to put President Obama’s veto pen to the test by resurrecting the measure when they take control of Congress in January.

Mr. Ellison, pressed on whether Canada would pull the tar sands oil out of the ground, anyway, and transport it in less climate-friendly ways, said it is not up to the U.S. to help them out.

“Why don’t they just go through Vancouver if it’s such an awesome idea?” Mr. Ellison said.

Ellison is a Muslim. Wonder if there’s a reason a Muslim wants us to be energy dependent....

Makes one wonder how much money under the table, this rat is getting to keep Keystone from being built.

This bs, is just another example of the two critical ways we need to look at anything liberals are involved in or against:

1. Cui Bono, or who benefits, when bs surrounds and covers up or shrouds their overt or covert actions with any activity with libs in control of where money and power can be gained.

2. Follow the money after #1.

The answer to who benefits when the Keystone pipeline is killed/stalled is simple.

Warren Buffets owns/controls most of the railroad old tank cars and the railroad which bring the oil from Canada to US refineries.

How many of the Rat $inators get a lot of money now and in IOUs from Buffet to keep Keystone dead?

What do train whistles and Warren Buffett have in common?

If you answered old-fashioned charm, you’re wrong.

The Sightline Institute, a Seattle-based think tank, calls the avuncular billionaire “the man behind the exploding trains.”

Buffett’s company, Berkshire Hathaway, owns Union Tank Car Company, North America’s largest leaser of tank cars. Berkshire also owns BNSF Railway Company, which moves many of those cars.

Again the rat’s MSM has hidden this important fact from us.

Where could you get better advice on reducing American dependence on Arab oil than an Obama supporting, black, muslim, democrat?

Rep. Keith Ellison, another ignorant fool. He would rather truck and by rail the oil than use the safe method of a pipeline. We have over 27 in the US running now and they are very efficient and safe. Without some of them piping natural gas we would be paying one hell of a lot more to heat our homes just as one example.

Thanks, I wasn't aware that this rat pos was a Muslim. Your question is very valid: Ellison is a Muslim. Wonder if there’s a reason a Muslim wants us to be energy dependent....

The decrease in oil prices is a result of our decrease in oil imports, increases in our oil production, and increased exports is making our $ stronger each day. The Opecker Princes and Putin are taking this drop in Oil prices in their shorts.

One of the best kept secrets with the crisises in Iraq/Syria/? and other oil producing countries, is how the price of gasoline and oil in America keeps coming down.

Increased U.S. production is helping to create an oil surplus on world markets, driving down prices despite a myriad of threats to oil supplies, and doing more to crush Russia’s economy than the sanctions imposed by the U.S. and European Union, said Chris Faulkner, chief executive of Breitling Energy.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/sep/8/us-oil-surplus-eases-prices-in-global-crises/?page=all

This is also preventing the Opecker Princes from doubling their price on oil to again cause another major economic recession around the world.

The price of oil on the open market is kicking the Opecker Princes, Putin and the thugs in charge of Venezuela really hard below their economic belts.

“Why don’t they just go through Vancouver if it’s such an awesome idea?”

Because that's not where its needed dumbass. Its kinda like the new Detroit bridge. You build infrastructure where its needed.

Apparently not. I have not seen one map that has the pipeline anywhere near Minnesota. Plus if the moron ever ventured out of the cities, he would know that there are all kinds of pipelines underground in Minnesota.

... Send it through Vancouver if it’s so great

Get a clue Ellison, Canada has been sending it through Vancouver for years. What's more, Kinder Morgan is asking for an injunction preventing protesters from blocking its crews from doing work on the pipeline expansion project there ...
