Speaking to Fox Newss Greta Van Susteren after the presidents State of the Union address Tuesday night, House minority leader Nancy Pelosi attempted to justify his unilateral action raising the minimum wage of federal contractors; she acknowledged that it would be much better for Congress to act and for it to be the law of the land more generally. But, I remind you, Pelosi added, the Emancipation Proclamation was an executive order, many things that happened over time that would not have ever happened waiting for Congress, but then Congress followed through with, in fact, abolishing, you know, slavery.
Actually, no, we dont know that. Congress, in fact, did not abolish slavery. The Thirteenth Amendment to the Constitution did.
No less confused about our history is Pelosis assistant, Assistant Democratic Leader ( Representative James Clyburn) (D, S.C.), who told Huffington Post that he feels very strongly that the president should take executive action to prohibit discrimination against lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transsexuals, even though the Congress has refused to pass legislation (the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, discussed here) to do that. Clyburn pointed out that it was an 1863 executive action by President Abraham Lincoln, the Emancipation Proclamation, that led to the end of slavery. I dont know where I would be today if the executive order had not been used to get rid of slavery, Clyburn concluded.

They already know that. They are just repeating the lie for their uneducated voter base.
Lincoln: Emancipation Proclamation
Democrats: Emancipation Falsification
Exactly!
I don’t expect a bunch of pandering traitors to know anything about the Founding, or care. They need to be ignored.
Right where the Radical Republicans put you: out of bondage with the 13th Amendment.
And the Emancipators would be appalled that you aligned yourself with the Rat party.

The number of immigrants added to the labor force every year is of a magnitude not seen in this country for over a century. If this huge influx of mostly low-skill workers threatens to depress further the wages of blue- collar Americans and put strains on an already overburdened safety net. (The opinion of the anti-illegal-alien crusader Barack HusseiObama from his 2006 autobiography The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream)
Obama had super majority in both cameras during the first two years of his presidency, but he didnt give the amnesty during his first 100 days as he promised to those living illegally in the country Furthermore, as senator, Obama opposed George W Bush when the republicans tried to give a legal status to those living illegally in U.S.
Blacks are going to be the main collateral victims of Obama's anti-Black amnesty. Black Americans are already suffering higher unemployment since Obama took power. Obamas new class of protected immigrants will take over their jobs and Blacks will be forced to share their welfare checks and food stamps with them

"What bothers me is that Lincoln never SIGNED it. So black people are still slaves. White people: go up to the next black person you see and take them home. They're yours."
These two are hopeless. With their ideology, they’ve been adept at ignoring history lessons throughout their political careers. NR is wasting its breath here.
If the feckless GOP lets him get away with it, all the better. If not he can blame them for not being able to keep his promise.
You are dealing with an amoral person.
Time for a renewed Tea Party “March on Washington!”?
He issued it on the authority of his power as Commander-in-Chief, so not comparable to Obama's action.
There is also quite a bit of a moral difference as well. The slaves were innocent, the illegals are criminals.
What could any Democrat possibly know about Abraham Lincoln?
