Been there, done that - Genesis 3
Welcome to Mormon doctrine - you evolve into a god if you live the good Mormon life here on earth (I am not kidding).
Google "cosmic microwave background radiation."
"Darwin's Ghost," by Steve Jones.
Monseigneur Georges Lemaître, a Roman Catholic priest and physics professor, was the first to propose the big bang theory and expanding universe. The big bang is entirely acceptable to the church’s dogma.
Could this article not be applied to Creation as well?
Badly written, somehow saying that evolution is wrong, and Creation is right. However, my main disagreement is in the way that the author presents it.
I’m not saying that I don’t believe in the Bible, but I have my questions that may never be answered, and my doubts.
There are a lot of credible prophecies in the Bible that one can argue have come to fruition.
How can science prove the existence of God? How can science prove the existence of the big bang or any other types of evolution or how we came to be. It simply can’t.
The Bible is based on faith. Believing because the ultimate truths are within our heart of hearts, and I don’t think anyone can deny that there is a God. But science, tries to disprove God not through confronting the evidence of God, but coming up with theories, and hypothesis that are likely not even scratching the surface of what the universe is. Just like centuries ago people believed the Earth was flat. Yet a few men didn’t, they were right. Mainstream....wrong.
Anyone that says they have all the answers is a fool. We don’t even know why mass = gravity. We know the table and stool stay together, but why the sub-atomic particles stay together in the shape? Why does it work?
Basically, God must certainly exist.....or we are the luckiest thing in the history of everything to be here, and there is no meaning to anything. Where do our morals come from, our intelligence? But then where did God come from? If God was always there, then there is nothing else. We can observe nature..which certainly seems designed. Then apply it to the rest of the universe. Something came first, chicken or the egg. It’s impossible to know for certain in this life. A thing that worries me about the Bible is that man is fallible, and the Bible has been translated , re compiled, parts added, parts probably taken away. We live in a fallen world, the Bible likely has been changed from those days it was written. How could it not be?
If you do not have doubts, I can’t have a conversation with you. But for any man to say they have all the answers, that’s just foolishness.
Faith vs Science. The truths of the heart, vs the truths of observation...however Science is no longer about truths, it is about lies, and making fantasy into reality. When it comes down to it, I don’t think anyone really knows for sure. Some will say they do, but deep down......how can you possibly know, if God has not come and spoken to you?
Just my thoughts, but the article does a bad job of proving that science is wrong, but the Bible is right. Once again, we live in a fallen world.
Yeah, there's a reason for that: They're all looking at the line of the Milky Way, with the bulge of the galactic center looking like a serpent's head biting its own tail.
Shalom.
The world is the way it is. It can be used for good or evil.
More theology masquerading as news?
Satan’s lie to Eve and the Mormon lie to, well, Mormons.
“...I can construct...a spherically symmetrical universe with earth at its center, and you cannot disprove it based on observations.”
Well... the same can be done using any point in the Universe as the center.
