No issue this side of the Keystone XL oil pipeline has been ruminated on longer by the Washington political set than immigration reform. So, President Obama knows what he is getting into when he officially announces his decision Thursday night to take executive action to halt the deportations of millions of undocumented immigrants. And he's doing it anyway. Why? Because he thinks he knows how, in the end, this all plays out -- and thinks it works in his favor.
Here's what Obama thinks he knows:
1. Republicans were never going to work with him. You can imagine Obama rolling his eyes...

It's a very convoluted matter that lends itself to sound bites that can be used against him very effectively.

Complete wishful thinking on his part. It will further split the party and make it less united than ever before.

I don't know how well it's going to help him among Hispanics but it will also hurt him with other parts of his party's base. Probably hurt more than help.
Essentially, it seems as though the WaPost guys says Obama thinks about Hispanics the way LBJ thought about blacks.

There are tens of thousands of Americans protesting in front of the White House, right now, to try and stop this evil, illegal act!!

Dems can count on up to a MILLION people in the streets in and in front of the cameras to support this.

Yes he can. Rush was talking about him earlier this week on the show. He apparently has a problem with reality.
Obama thinks the American people will either love this usurpation or do or say nothing. I think his action will start a firestorm. A mob with torches and pitchforks on the Washington mall demanding his resignation is not far fetched.
0bama has to be the worst politician that has ever held the Presidency. Every issue he has advocated, or used his ‘bully pulpit’ for has fell totally flat. None of his budgets have EVER got off the ground in Congress, even when his party controlled it. Gun Control after Sandyhook, went nowhere. You could go on and on. He’d give a big speech about what he believes is a pressing issue, go on a speaking tour with the media following along supporting him, and nothing happens. He has been nothing but a failure!
The only things he EVER ‘got done’ was ‘Porkulus’ and 0bamacare. That isn’t exactly anything to brag about, and they had to lie cheat and steal to get 0bamacare done, yet everyone hates it, except for the most partisan drones(pajama boy) that don’t yet have to suffer under it.
He has also left his party in total ruin during his time in office.(even worse than Clinton did)
Constitutional Scholar. Come now Obama is as much a scholar as a a preschooler is to reciting 1 - 100. He does not give one iota for the US Constitution. What he taught at the University of Chicago was how to subvert the Constitution!
