“Mr. Gruber went to the White House at least six times in 2009, according to a review of visitor logs. He met with the president on July 20, 2009, and was joined by other economists. Some of the other meetings were held with Jeanne Lambrew, deputy assistant to the president for health policy, and Peter Orszag, former director of the Office of Management and Budget.
Mr. Gruber visited the White House at least twice in 2010 and met with Jason Furman, who is now chairman of the president’s Council of Economic Advisers. Mr. Gruber meet with Ms. Lambrew at least twice this year and was at the White House as recently as June, the records show. For five of the meetings, visitor records don’t show when Mr. Gruber arrived or departed, making it unclear whether the appointments were kept.
Mr. Gruber wrote a 2011 cartoon book called “Health Care Reform” that aimed to explain the federal law. A note about the author says Mr. Gruber “consulted extensively with the Obama administration and Congress during the development” of the law.”

According to Obama, the MTI professor, a frequent visitor to the White House, was just a ”random” adviser. For his “invaluable advise and services” to the Obama administration professor Gruber received over 5.9 million dollars... Stupidity and corruption to the nth power.

I would like to thank Herr Gruber for the one public service he has GENUINELY provided. He has revealed the contempt the political class has in general , and Democrats in particular , have for the common man. He has shined the light of truth on just how important it is for his ilk to lie to us to get what they want. Outsiders and have been saying this forever but were ignored because they were just being ‘selfish’. To have this elite insider bragging about it , who has made millions of dollars doing so, and was so eager to teach a new generation of elites to do likewise that he blatantly posted videos on the Internet for the future indoctrination of elites was his one true , if unintended gift.

Once somebody has a moral vision of any kind that is very nearly the last thing you can change about them. That’s the core of the problem, the twisted moral vision they have. I have a family of very well educated cousins, all above the age of 50 right now.
All of them doubled down on Obama, and one went so far as to campaign for him the second time around.
They can see, smell, and taste the smoking hole he’s left behind for the party, the country, and for them personally. Their retort: ‘Consider the alternative - Romney’.
There’s an incredible piece in the WSJ today about the guy who dropped $79M this election on green liberal candidates. Tom Steyer’s Democrats is what I think its called.
It will take your breath away. The piece is about the recent Keystone XL vote, and how the ‘gentry liberals’ basically chose the greenies over the private sector unions yesterday, and how big a deal that was.
41 Democrats let go of a Senate seat to back climate change, which has been completely disproven and roundly exposed as nothing more than alchemy - the pursuit of junk science to bamboozle money from ignorant people. They tossed Landrieu over even though the trains are left as the alternative, given the oil is coming out of the ground no matter what.
Most of these ‘climate evangelists’ can’t even tell you the atomic weight of CO2, or where you are most likely to find it in any given volume if you were intent on finding it. (the floor - it’s heavier than air, so it settles to the ground, which is hilarious because they’ve spent all that money looking for it on the rooftops of buildings.)
I don’t want to pick on the seventh day Adventists, but the story of their origins applies here. The church was started by a man who prophesied that Jesus was coming on a date certain. They were all there ready to greet Him, and alas he didn’t come. He threw out a new date, and He still didn’t come.
The church survives to this day. Doesn’t matter that the guy was wrong. All that mattered was that once the belief was publically made, it becomes almost impossible to admit thereafter that you’d been duped.
I know democrats who believed Obama when he said you could keep your doctor AND your plan. I knew people who thought this REALLY would lower costs and help the needy. Good people. People who still trusted those in high office to tell the truth.

I can't blame everyday Democrats for believing those lies. The lies were well crafted. The lies were put forth by democrat leaders and their trolls... ABC has yet to cover this scandal, but they did push Obamacare - and the lies supporting it.
We need to have compassion for those duped...

You turn to these people and say, "They're adding 40 million people to the heath care system including people with preexisting conditions - and they're saying it won't cost more - is that crazy or what?" and they'll respond with something like, "well, everyone has a right to feel like they want to about issues".
What! What? No, this isn't a 'feel' issue... we can all have our own opinions and feelings, but NOT OUR OWN FACTS... the facts ARE that you can't add 40 million new people to a system and have the costs stay the same."
So yeah Ann, I understand the frustrations. I'm just saying we need a little compassion for people who don't understand math - (and that group includes most journalists) and are easily taken by corrupt democrats like Obama and Gruber... Or pity - maybe compassion's the wrong word...
These are the people who watch NBC nightly news or CNN....so almost none of them have heard of Gruber.
The packaging of Obamacare gives us a clue as to how Obama himself was packaged as a candidate to dupe gullible Americans——except the connivers covered-up all of his Marxist-Progressive Poison using focus-tested sound bites.
At one point, Obama was even instructed to say he wanted to be “another Reagan.”
