Just a week after Dr. Craig Spencer was declared 'Ebola-free', The Daily Mail reports a woman, who had arrived from Guinea 18 days ago (and was on the NYC Ebola monitoring list), dropped dead in a Brooklyn hair salon this afternoon. FDNY sent their Special Operations and Hazmat units but she was declared dead at the scene. Witnesses said she was bleeding from the "face, nose, mouth, everything."

“But yet she was feeling well enough to have her hair done?”

She was being monitored and nobody knew she’d left the house? What, exactly, does the monitoring consist of? I presume she was self-monitoring? If so, that’s the same as no monitoring at all.

Here we go again with the BS word games.

Ain’t nothing going to get between a black woman and her weave - not even Ebola.

Black woman seem to have a high propensity to care about their hair. That’s not a bad thing. Perhaps it is because the hair is so difficult to work with that they spend so much money on it.

I worked with a lot of black women. They think nothing of spending $200 and hours and hours having their hair done. Doesn’t matter to me except when they are getting food stamps and Section 8, which many were.

How many did she infect?

I'm sure she didn't infect anyone. Ebola is contained. Ebola has killed fewer people than the annual flu, and we should be concerned about big things like whether global temperatures will rise 0.7 degrees over the next century or the war on women. Why worry about a deadly pandemic that has only killed a few thousand people so far?

Isn't there a Kim Kardashian photo or a squirrel we could look at instead?

Remember that the Dr who died from Ebola also tested Negative.

So, the woman could have Ebola. Question is..can anyone catch it if the test is negative.

I would not bet my life on it being safe to touch her.

She’s dead?

Well, good.

WTF was she doing going outside while carrying this disease and taking the chance on infecting others?

FK Typhoid Mary and her modern day siblings.

Darwin took this selfish woman out and now she is no longer a walking hairdo...

If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.

Bring out your dead! The Dark Man cometh! Bring out your dead! The Dark Man cometh! Bring out your......

(Since all records of obama's past were lost in a tragic boating accident and fire, no one can be certain that the guy in the red circle isn't him...)

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

Yeah, it bothers me too to see so much money spent on hair and nails when in Section 8 housing and food stamps.
