It's intended purpose is counter insurgency, light air-to-air and air-to-ground.
It is intended to do 70% of the job, depending on configuration as:
1) A ground attack aircraft
2) A tactical bomber
3) An Air Defense aircraft
4) An ISR platform
It is NOT in anyway shape or form a replacement for top end gear.
Think about it, why should I scramble an F-16, F-15, or F-22 to intercept a guy in a Cessna 150?
It costs a third to fly and maintain of an F-16, yet can do all the jobs that we use the F-16’s for in this country.
It's a light patrol craft. That's it's job.
