Mark Paffrath worked for the Drury hotel chain in Missouri

Paffrath, a Navy veteran, posted photos of dozens of vehicles marked with the logos of the Department of Homeland Security to his Facebook

Vehicles were located about a 30-minute drive from Ferguson, Missouri

A Navy veteran has been fired and branded a terrorist for posting Facebook pictures of scores of Homeland Security SUVs parked at a hotel near Ferguson where he works.

Mark Paffrath, who worked for the Drury hotel chain, took photos and a video of dozens of vehicles marked with the logos of the Department of Homeland Security and Federal Protection Services which arrived in the parking lot of Chesterfield’s Drury Plaza Hotel last week.

The vehicles are parked about a 30-minute drive from Ferguson, Missouri.

(snip)

Paffrath says he was also told by his superiors that he put the hotel's $150, 000 contract with the Department of Homeland Security in jeopardy.

1) The hotel people are idiots.

2) Judging by the hashtags he used I can see that he has no idea how a hashtag works and that he's sympathetic to the Ferguson cause. Which makes me like him less.

DHS drill #2. The first one was in Boston, right after the marathon.

Still waiting for THIS to be explained:

Big deal. The protestors have to get to Ferguson somehow, don’t they?

“DHS involved in a local policing issue?”

THAT’s the real issue here.

Fox News has an article about Muslims getting involved in Ferguson protests.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/11/18/muslim-groups-seek-to-co-opt-ferguson-protests-says-watchdog-group/

That's probably why DHS is getting involved.

No surprise to me that the DOJ and DHS were in the middle of this. They are the ones calling all of the shots, not that Governor, who seems to be just their means to do whatever they want. The man who shared these a terrorist? No freaking way.

So all these DHS people are just hanging out at the hotel....

lol...

Did they think no one would see scores of their brand new vehicles and these people just hanging on the biggov payroll?

The "terrorist" claim is being insinuated by the person who was rightfully fired.
'The head of security for Drury was in there, and he pretty much called me a terrorist, saying that I dishonorably served my country for posting those pictures and videos on Facebook,' Paffrath said.

There was a time - many years ago - when dozens of government vehicles in a hotel parking lot would not have aroused suspicions.

But - unfortunately - there also was a time when we could TRUST our government. A time when we had no real reasons to be suspicious and even fearful of what “they” are up to.

If the DHS was there to monitor and control the expected Ferguson uprisings; then fine. Great.

But since those vehicles were likely used TO BRING IN outside agitators and protestors to instigate the rioting and looting to come; then yeah. We have a problem with that.

A few things about that photo...what is the 149 dollar rate at the left and what is 115 a night = 1150 pts 18 nights 20700 points?

Not sure on the $149, since we can't see the whole sign. Just a guess, but I'll bet the $115.00 is the federal rate for the hotel room (agreed upon prices when govt. officials use their travel cards), times ten rooms = 1150 points times 18 nights is 20,700 points. Maybe the staff earns points based on occupancy or it's points on a rewards card?

A employee does not have a “right” to photograph and display them online. An employer has every right to protect the privacy of their customers.

I know many won’t agree...but the hotel/motel was correct here.

Go across the street where its a public way and put them up without any identifying information.

People move away from his terrorist claim. The man proved that the state is not handling this situation / shows the lie that has been repeated in the corrupt inept media that the Missouri governor was handling this as a state issue.

DHS involved in a local policing issue?

FBI issued a warning, stating that attacks on police officers and/or federal agents were likely. That's what brought in FPS.

Watch a news clip from the 1970’s or 1980’s and the cop cars look pretty run down.

How come nowadays they’re always brand new?...as in newer and nicer than anything the taxpayer could ever buy for himself?
