Bernie Sanders: Republicans Are Getting Very Nervous About Obamacare’s Success

Sen. Sanders was asked about the new ACA sign up numbers on MSNBC’s The Ed Show.

Sen. Sanders (I-VT) said, “It tells us that you have a program that is working well. That they have overcome the problems that they initially had. It tells me that about seventy-five percent of the people on the exchanges think that the healthcare they are getting is good, and I think this is making our Republican colleagues very nervous.”

Sanders summed up the entire Republican philosophy, “What these guys want to do is to tell the American people,’Hey you think government can do something for you? It can’t. Only the private sector can do things for you, and you don’t even have to come to vote because government is irrelevant to your lives. That’s what this whole thing is about ideologically.”

"More grubering from the loony left."

Gruber has instigated a whole new list of verbs.

Great, so our costs are reducing by $2500? Wow I hadn’t heard that, thank you Bernie. I guess I was misinformed that it wasn’t working and the costs were going up.

As bad as people hate Obamacare now, they are going to hate it even more come 2016. Smart players should be working out dismantling strategies that will leave the insurance companies intact, but weaned from Uncle Sugar’s fascist strings.

Success to me will be measured 5 - 10 years down the road. I fully expect the quality of our healthcare to decline.

It’s simple: The people who are getting much more than they ever worked for out of Obamacare are happy. The ones paying the outrageously jacked-up premiums to pay for it are not.

Ditto that. The only reason to sign up via an exchange is to get the subsidies and additional cost sharing with incomes under 250% of FPL. If one is above 400% FPL, subsidies aren't available. I suspect the people that aren't happy are the ones the ones that fell in the 350% to 400% range that had their insurance cancelled and were forced into exchanges. They know they got ripped off.

“Sen. Sanders (I-VT) said, “It tells us that you have a program that is working well.”

This guy, who we already knew was right out of the fever swamps of the left, is seriously, seriously deranged.

It’s a close case who is more in need of intense psychiatric help: Sanders, Sen. Fauxcahontas, or Comrade de Blasio.

I would say he’s delusional but he probably isn’t

He knows the truth. But he knows he will never be challenged on the Ed Show on MSNBC.

A reminder that liberalism is a mental illness. Listening to liberals especially since last Tuesday is like listening to your teenage son making up excuses for his failures in school; it’s always someone else’s fault.

Amusing this particular comment from democratinny on that Web page:

“I am self-employed so I have to purchase my own healthcare, and this plan is better than what I have ever had, and I am saving $200/month”

Isn’t it interesting how all these pro obamacare anonymous liberals on the internet are the only ones getting these great health insurance deals that is eluding everyone else in the real world. And his fellow liberals in the comments are swallowing his lies whole.

Then Bernie shouldn’t mind making Obamacare voluntary, and opening the prison doors for those who want to opt out.

And signing up for it himself! Give up your exemption Senator Moonbeam!

Sure if Dcotors office closing was the goal.

He should be making it into the various alternative dictionaries very soon. He will join other notables such as Quisling, Thomas Crapper etc.

I've been talking with my broker since the window just opened - I have the choice of two providers now, Kaiser being one. And the premiums being offered have gone up another $500/mo from this year.

I'm very close to going without and paying the fine.

My hatred for this administration is now white hot.

By the way - my broker mentioned that these two providers are the only available in my zip code.

I wonder if this system redlines certain areas they think should pay higher premiums.

I had Kaiser for several months under the California exchangem, essentially Obamacare. Frosted me something fierce, and I had been with Kaiser for about a decade. Due to family issues, I had to get different coverage.

At first they wouldn’t keep me. Then they were forced to under Obamacare. The cost was excessive to say the least.

I went ahead and moved on as soon as I could. Just got a letter from them yesterday quoting rates $200 a month lower than what they were demanding last year.

I haven’t read the fine print. I don’t need to anymore.

It ticked me off none the less.

Hey bud, I feel your pain. Seriously...
