The precedent has been established. Presidents may rewrite law as they please. Article I Section 1 established the American republic and for practical purposes it is gone.

Future statutes cannot reverse precedent. Oh, and we certainly cannot count on Scotus to save us.

To secure freedom, the Framers’ constitution relied on opposing interests, and a senate of the states was the keystone to their unique design.

Only senators responsible to their states can disregard the lunatic obama media.

The precedent has been established.

How so? The only recent precedent is the Supreme Court slapping Obama down when he claimed the Senate was in recess when it was not. I'm not aware of a decision saying that his actions contrary to law become law. In fact, that is what the upcoming Obamacare case is about.

The WaPo can’t scare the RATS because the RATS know that a president Cruz would never use Obama’s tactics.

They know that dirty, underhanded politics are a typical RAT signature.

<>How so? <>

For starters, Obamacare has been rewritten dozens of times. He is about to rewrite immigration law. Precedent.

Precedent. You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.

I realize that among some of us, there is a knee-jerk reaction to oppose anything Senator McConnell may propose, however, where the filibuster is concerned, we need to give the matter more thought. The democrats are not likely to filibuster any of the president’s nominees and since the president has the veto, they don’t need to filibuster any republican legislation. For the next two years, the filibuster is the primary if not only weapon conservative members have to prevent bad legislation and bad nominees.

My goodness, if you really don’t trust Senator McConnell, don’t give him more power to determine your fate.

Oh. Why is this the first I have heard that?

The same reason the mainstream media kept reporting that Republicans were against Obamacare because they didn't want poor people to have "healthcare". Obamacare was about "health insurance", not healthcare.

Whether it was intentional deception, or laziness, the media is at it again. Calling what Obama has vowed to do is not amnesty - it is suspending the deportation of illegals. They will still be here illegally, and therefore criminals, but the administration will simply ignore the President's constitutional duty to enforce existing laws.

It’s a nice, wishful scenario. But if there was a President Cruz (and I hope to God there is) the Dems aided by the RINOs would move to impeach!

This is not an advocacy for it, but I honestly think the only fitting thing to do would be to burn the Washington Post to the ground, and every other paper and media entity that sold this nation out decades ago right along with it.

LOL - here's one better: have Cruz tell the DOJ they will NOT prosecute people burning down major media outlets. Also, any 'journalistic groups' attempting to organized 'fire safety teams' will be investigated by the IRS...

Liberals don't understand when they mess with the protections of the Constitution they can get burned too...

Ban Sierra club members from riding their silly little bicycles in any of our National Parks... AND “no tents’... let's keep the parks civilized... If liberals object I want the press to humiliate them... like they do to us...

Don’t need to. I use it daily in my line of work.
