Something is wrong with these Dems and Adams County.

Still counting the votes... and they’re still looking for ‘magical ballots’ to appear from parts unknown.

So it’s going to be 33 Dims to 32 Rs in the CO state House, and 18 Rs to 17 Dims in the CO Senate.

“CONCESSIONS: Hickenlooper Concedes HD 30 for Jenise May

Well that was awkward. While House Democrats are still holding out hope that Rep. Jenise May (D-Aurora) might retain her seat, Gov. John Hickenlooper basically conceded for her during yesterday’s hearing of the Joint Budget Committee.

May lost her seat to Republican JoAnn Windolz 50.29 to 49.71 in what was a celebrated victory for the House Republicans. Ironically, Democrats thought May was so safe they made her the chair of the House Majority Project, the caucus’s main candidate campaign arm. Instead of focusing on her own race, May was busy helping others get elected.

We can understand why she is in a bit of denial, but eventually you have to grow up. It’s been a week. May and House Dems need to stop embarrassing themselves and accept reality now.”

Yes, something’s wrong. Dems are a nasty bunch and that’s an understatement.

We made progress but it’s still tough to accept Hick. winning.

I’m bummed out and don’t know what state of mind I’d be in if we hadn’t made so many gains across the country.

Thanks.

Actually, Republicans won a decisive victory in the total Colorado House vote. The problem is the Dems, with the assistance of the judiciary, gerrymandered the state in 2010.
