From the article:

Salia, a Sierra Leone citizen who lives in Maryland, first showed Ebola symptoms on Nov. 6 but tested negative for the virus. He eventually tested positive on Monday. (emphasis added)

Paging Kaci Hickox.

Great point. That beotch has now faded back into obscurity. She had dreams of a book deal, a Lifetime movie and a guest shot on Jon Stewart.

She didn't realize that even most liberals would think she was a giant jackass, with a likeability factor near zero.

This is not at all inconsistent with Hickox’s argument. Ebola patients are not infectious until they begin to show symptoms, because the viral load in their body is very low. In this guy’s case (and others), even after he displayed symptoms, the viral load was still low enough that he initially tested negative.
