Based on their research, they would be less responsive to dangers or threats. They would tend to do things without considering potential adverse effects. That is, they are more likely to create a building purely based on looks, but which could have serious structural flaws. When crisis hits, they can't survive, or they would have to totally depend on those who can perceive threats and react accordingly, regardless of pleasant looks and warm feelings.

Ignoring realities starts with ignoring threats and dangers. It is even different from taking calculated risks. Liberal's ignoring realities is equal to total disregard to risks.

To put it in stark terms, they are surplus individuals who can only exist in good times. They don't last during bad times. Or as I said, they may have to latch onto somebody who can shelter them from harsh reality which could wipe them out.

They are not more evolved at all. They are the product of devolution caused by prolonged prosperity.
