Former Army Ranger Peter Kassig has been murdered by the barbaric savages of the Islamic State.
This unfortunate turn of events was certainly not a surprise. The Islamic State doesn’t release hostages. They behead them or crucify them, based on Islamic religious doctrine.
We have viewed the 16-minute propaganda video from the Islamic State. We will not link it here.
The video actually depicts an orchestrated mass beheading, not just the murder of Kassig.
One thing stood out in the video when we were looking at the twenty or so Jihadis doing the beheadings (see image below): There were many different ethnic groups represented.
Clearly, the Islamic State has gathered recruits from Muslims around the world.
This is something we already knew, but there are still many in the West who are in denial about the widespread support for and outright popularity of the Islamic State amongst the umma around the world.

Isn’t this the guy who converted to Islam? Gee, wonder why that didn’t save him.
Anyone who volunteers to go to that part of the world, without being heavily armed is just asking for it.

I don’t necessarily believe the authenticity of reports that he converted to Islam while in captivity. I do note one thing definitively though: Unlike the hostages previously beheaded by the Islamic State, Kassig evidently refused to make a statement, or else the Jihadis didn’t trust him to make a statement on camera...I’d like to think that he resisted.
Very few people have the strength not to break under those conditions.

Good idea. We don’t want Americans to see the monsters that we face. We want them to control the narrative so we can convince ourselves that they are peace-loving people with families just like us who hate jihadists the way we hate nutjobs who shoot up schools.
I hope he appreciates the Religion of Piss now that he is Resting in Peace. A question: does he also get 72 dark-eyed virgins? Or does he get the Hell Fire since he was killed by Muslims even more righteous than he was?
The guy, instead of converting to Islam (and his family putting that pathetic charade), should have pissed on the religion of piss and should have gone out in glory.
By the way, the family is now calling him a Shahid Abdur-Rahman. Dhimmitude Completed. I bet they will now go on speaking circuit to promote pIslam and how the whole thing was a big misunderstanding (or neocon colonial propaganda).

I volunteered. I’m here again. But I’m in the safest place in Iraq.
During the indoc they said there hadn’t been a round impact in over 2 years. The next day I email a co-worker friend in the states and let him know things are safe and no incoming in 2 years, etc. Later that evening I’m on the phone with him when the incoming alarm goes off. Wump, wump, wump and one of them impacts the compound. No injuries. Heh.
10 years ago I was in the same area out on the road in the company truck waiting for a co-worker to come out of the BCT compound that was here at the time. We were in an unarmored Mitsubishi truck and I had the window down when 3 rounds were shot off from the same area south of the river. One round came in just on the other side of the BCT wall sending up a geyser of dirt, twigs and stuff. The was showered with debris but that was about it -except for two highly agitated NCOs in the back having choice words for the person we were waiting on. So 10 years later another 3 rounds from the same general Point of Origin hit the same area. I joke with ppl here that there must be some holes in a mosque somewhere which they shoot rockets out of during special events.
This should then be the rules of engagement when fighting ISIS:
1. Maximum firepower.
2. No survivors, no POW’s.
3. Any captured may be selectively interrogated with pentothal, but all will be executed.
Screw political correctness, go Roman Empire on them.
There is only one reason to go to this region of the world: kill barbarians.
