If the constitution is no longer followed, why should conservatives follow it?

Well, if “conservative” means “preserving the status quo” then it certainly wouldn’t provide any impetus to following the Constitution.
On the other hand if the Constitution is upheld then amnesty, the aiding of foreign invaders, is Treason.

Because that’s what conservatism is. You’re talking about a Republican dictator or a “right wing” dictator.
