Let’s roll!
This will upset the RINO wing here and in DC greatly. Upholding oaths? Principle? We were told that kind of behavior is bad.
Perish the thought.
Sounds good—especially if RATS get the blame.
you might as well impeach him too. The average Joe won’t notice a thing.
Why would any respectable honorable representative not be demanding Obama be removed from office?
Does this not reek of collusion and more corruption between the insiders in D.C.?
We cannot let the media frame the issue this way.
The strategy being followed seems fine to me -- write a spending bill which funds the government, and defunds amnesty. Pass it. Give it to Obama. Say:
"We Republicans desperately want to fund the government! We have provided funding! Please! Please! Sign this bill Mr. President s that the government stays open and provides all the services that American citizens are expecting!"
Then if there is a problem, and government shuts down, all we can do is shrug and say, "He'll sign it eventually."
Somebody explain to me again how Republicans can get blamed for shutting down the government when they pass a piece of legislation that Harry Reid refuses to take up?
"Why does Obama want to shutdown the government to unconstitutionally grant amnesty to 5 million illegal aliens?"
"Why does Obama want to shutdown the government to unconstitutionally grant amnesty to 5 million illegal aliens?"
"Why does Obama want to shutdown the government to unconstitutionally grant amnesty to 5 million illegal aliens?"
"Why does Obama want to shutdown the government to unconstitutionally grant amnesty to 5 million illegal aliens?"
"Why does Obama want to shutdown the government to unconstitutionally grant amnesty to 5 million illegal aliens?"
"Why does Obama want to shutdown the government to unconstitutionally grant amnesty to 5 million illegal aliens?"
It's not hard.
The Turtle wants no part of this. And he’s not alone.
The shut down should only happen after republicans make it clear that the executive branch is breaking the law and using executive order to get around the constitution. This should remain in the public eye until every low info voter has at least heard it and attempted to understand it. Period.
Then make like a defunding is the only way to stop the lawlessness.
Pubs, start squawking.
Way to go, Steve King!!
Britt Hume on Fox Sunday said no way on this proposal. He said that it is vetoed, the GOP/Whigs will get blamed for it. In other words, get elected, go to Versailles on the Potomac, collect your paycheck, do and say nothing, get reelected, repeat process.
Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa): When you take an oath to uphold the Constitution, it is not appropriate to contemplate the political consequences. You should uphold the Constitution come what may.
Well, at least one person seems to own a pair.
only in the beltway is the idiotic notion that the gummint shutdown was either real or harmful to Republicans. They are so obsessed with their little crony city.
Just go ahead and cut the head off the snake. Impeach him already. He is without a doubt the worst president to have ruled over the United States; the other ones served in that capacity... : )
I wouldn’t call it a shutdown. It’s funding the necessary branches of government. The candy is extra...
EXEMPT Congress is just too busy kissing up
to the Moslem Brotherhood and Wall St. banks, and
they who Demand the EXEMPT Import Diseases.
They should:
Impeach. Demand documentation.
Impeach. Convict.
That last government shutdown really hurt the GOP in the election a few weeks ago (sarc).
I think the voters respect politicians who stand up for their principles.
If they don’t, forget the results of November 4.
