First-day glitch shuts state’s health-insurance exchange

Internal checks determined the state Healthplanfinder website was miscalculating the amount of tax credits applicants were eligible for. So exchange officials decided to shut the site down for repairs. They hope to have it back up on Sunday.

“It’s our plan to be up as soon as possible,” said Michael Marchand, communications director of the Washington Health Benefit Exchange, which operates Healthplanfinder. By early evening Saturday, the exchange issued a release saying it is expected to be back online by 8 a.m. Sunday.

The tax-credit calculations are critical to the site’s utility. Based on an applicant’s income level, the credits go toward making premium payments more affordable for those who qualify.

If Amazon was run this way, it would be out of business.

But there are no penalties for screw-ups in unveiling Obamacare to the masses.

What a joke. How much taxpayer money has been spent on yet another problem-riddled site for this anti-Freedom law? People running this are criminals.

Has anything worked as advertised with Obamacare? There is not a single thing promised that has come to pass. Not a single projection that has been met. Not a single system that has worked. Health care is not better. Doctor's are opting out. It is not more affordable. The number of uninsured has not gone down. There have been numerous (illegal) changes made for political expediency. And, on top of this we have created huge, costly bureaucracies and have yielded huge chunks of our freedom. How anyone with even a modicum of intelligence (MSM, anyone?) can not view Obamacare as a disaster of monumental proportions is beyond me.

Of course, as has been observed in this forum many times, it is supposed to fail, so that it can be replaced with something that requires even more government control. And we are all supposed to be good with that?

Let me see here: MONTHS pass since the initial roll-out cluster-F*, and (State) gov’t STILL hasn’t gotten it’s sh!t together...no testing, no validation, no verification.

How much MORE $$ was blown ‘getting ready’? Who was FIRED (yeah, pipe dream), like *I* would be if I did this in the real world (’unfortunately’ *I* have to show progress, metrics, testing results...you know, actual WORK)

Glad I live in FL
