A Dallas-area school board fired a teacher Friday who posted racially charged tweets about the fatal shooting of a black 18-year-old by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri.
Duncanville Independent School District trustees unanimously voted to terminate Vinita Hegwood's contract. Hegwood, who is black, has apologized for comments made Nov. 7 on her Twitter account that were laced with expletives and derogatory references to whites and blacks. Administrators have called the remarks "reprehensible."

The school board rejected a resignation and instead fired her with cause. That doesn't affect a teacher's pension, but it makes him or her ineligible for unemployment benefits, and future employers are told the teacher didn't leave in good standing, school district spokeswoman Lari Barager said.

The sweetest part was, she offered her resignation and it was refused so they could fire her. It’s like resuscitating a suicide so you can hang him. Must have been fun watching her twitch on the rope.

Good news for her, now she can go to Ferguson and join in with the protesters.
In fairness, pensions are usually not revoked except for offenses related directly to abuse of one’s position, like bribery.
She tried to resign but the board wouldn’t accept her resignation. They fired her azz instead! LOL! Don’t mess with Texas!!!!

Friend there are evil people out there. I don’t post anything in my name to protect my family from the dregs of the earth. That’s what a man does protect his family.
My friends know who I am. I text or email them. I post on various political websites and use aliases as it is no ones business who I am. And I certainly would not risk a job or having some liberal jurisdiction decide they want to make a left wing example of me or my loved ones. They don’t play fair so neither do I.
There are eight billion people in the world. Nobody is looking at you. If I had bad things to post about my job I would find another.
I respect your choice as I know nobody is looking at me either but I still carry just in case someone does come looking.

Too funny. I expected better from an English teacher of all people.
When I was in high school, my old English teachers would smile and proceed to discreetly assault me with their knowledge of the King’s English, leaving me to seek the nearest Websters dictionary for further explanation. Most of the time it was a verbal slap up side the head. It made them smile and me a smarter smart ass.
Those days are gone, now I’m just a dumb duck ass cracker. Where has our educational system gone?
BTW, the old Latin and Spanish teachers expanded my verbal vistas too.
Hopefully no one will employ her. Then, she can stand at a major intersection the the DFW area and hold a sign and beg from the very people she insulted.
