Only in civics class. We played a mock Senate, and for the politically obvious students our professor assigned us opposite roles. I got to play Ted Kennedy! It was fun, and as Rush often points out, the easiest thing to act like a liberal.
The poster from Alaska says it’s too early to call a winner, and gives perfectly logical reasons the Dem may still win.
Reasons, which, as far as I can tell, have nothing to do with fraud.
As I said, “I’d love” to see Boehner seat her anyway, but unlike ‘Rat voters that part of my mind doesn’t dominate. Alas the part that does agrees with your take of the squish. However, it also implies that, with a large enough bull rush from the right, he might cave to us to save his Speakership. I’m not terribly optimistic about that either, but the chances are much better than Boehner faking strength on his own. And just how much more conservative the House GOP caucus will be in the next Congress, and just how furious Obama will have made them by then, I’m not sure. Obama sorts do tend to go overboard and produce backfires.
I agree with you. But at one point the pundits were talking about a best scenario of a gain of 10 senate seats. The seats include all that you mentioned plus New Hampshire.
I suspect with some additional effort and speed, we might have picked up VA.
that's how Al Franken won his Senate seat in MN.
