19% of young Black men voted for Mitt Romney in 2012. Don’t give up hope of reaching more young African-Americans who see through the race-baiting.
I agree. I think if we, here at freerepublic.com tend to see blacks as a “homogeneous group” and I know it’s easy to do, we have fallen for the communist tripe of “class warfare”. If you call yourself a Christian then the “whosoever will may come,” still applies to all men and women everywhere. And the principle of grace still needs to be evident in our relationships with all who have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God - as we know that without His grace, we could very easily be in their shoes. True wisdom is needed in the way we deal with this situation - I get it. But we can’t just write all people off because they are in a certain group. I think some blacks (yes, it’s a small minority) are waking up. We don’t know that others may follow. The LBJ government programs have, more than anything else, helped to destroy ambition and families among the black community and our culture at large. Why are Republicans not touting this message everyday? Why do they not articulate the benefits of real conservatism (Bill Whittle can help here!)? When I did some humanitarian work in Belarus about 5 or 6 years ago, you could see the damage to those people that lived under a Communistic form of government. Even after the “wall had come down” they had little ambition to improve their lives as the government had “taken care of them” for so long. A very high percentage were alcoholics. Many, many destroyed and wasted lives. So it happens in other places too. The dependencies must be reduced and eventually eliminated. I just hope it can occur before our government enslaves us all. We must somehow show that both political parties are very tied to corporate dollars and interests. The Republican party has an opportunity to jump on this populist angst that is percolating beneath the surface and truly champion the cause of hard working Americans. The Tea Party needs to continue to take the fight to the Rinos no matter how many times the media declares them/us to be dead. But all of us must still seek God’s power to “love our neighbor as ourself.” The Apostle Paul stated that he had become all things to all men that he might win “some”. Don’t look for the crowds but look for individual hearts to change.
Says who? I don’t believe it. I have a black friend in a building next to me and I confront him all the time about how the dems/obola just love abortions. Deaf ears. He is very religious and it doesn’t matter. He loves obola.
