Walmart should place ads now for replacement workers.

I’ll bet the planning, transportation, and staffing of these “protests” are 100% done at regional or national union headquarters, likely in concert with the Dem party machine.

Fire them. It’s not like their highly skilled workers.

To show my support, I’ll be sure to shop at Walmart on that day.

Has any enterprising journalist ever compared Walmart wages to other chains?

Walmart employees pushing for higher wages said on Friday they were planning protests
So this is what America has become - protesting in the streets for raises.
WTF ever happened to hard work, doing a better job, getting an education?
These lazy, low-lifes should spend 6 months in a third world country ... they'd never protest anything ever again.

According to the Obama Administration, the economy is booming, so why do these poor exploited Walmart employees continue to work there?
My God, all they have to do is walk down the street and someone will yank them inside and put them to work.

But wait. Work is not the idea here. Income is. More income, less work. What they want is a larger cut of the Waltons’ and the shareholder's income. Or all of it.

Who is organizing this? 1400 employees just do not spontaneously go on a protest.

The fact that you are a so called “worker” at a retail store and you are willing to “protest” during the Christmas season. The reason your wages are low is your lack of “work” ethic.
The Christmas season is thee most important time for retail stores such as Wal Mart. If you don’t care why should you even be employed?

Good! Find them out and fire them, now. If they were found to be among the ones directing the coming ‘strike’, delete their position, therefore, there is no position, therefore, no way to say that they were summarliy fired, and no unemployment checks.

Meh.

Reading the entire article it looks as if there are only twenty three employees in this group. That’s less people than a class in grade school.

I solved this issue a few years ago when I got to the point I could not physically shop for 7 grands and 5 great grands. GIFT CARDS! Let those who are physically able do their own shopping, they know their own taste and sizes better than I do. Plus I get gas points out of 10 mins on Kroger’s gift card stand. Nov 19 the gift cards go to 4 times the points toward your next gas purchase up to 35 gallons.

Did you agree to the wages when you took the job?
Do they pay the wages agreed upon by both parties?
Do the checks clear?

Tired of this silliness.

“...the company does not retaliate against workers who strike...”

Wal-Mart is funny this way. While almost everything they do, including even individual store temperatures, are dictated from the main office, they long ago realized that hiring is best done locally, after, of course, vetting applicants by the main office to weed out criminals, troublemakers, those who have been fired before, etc.

So technically, the *company* does not retaliate. However, their individual store managers are free to do so. It is perhaps their single most important function after inventory control.

I think these guys should definitely go for it! My suggestion is that they link arms and block the doors to the stores, that will give them immediate feedblack and blue as to how much the public supports them.
