Well, if you have nothing to hide, what’s the big problem? I could careless if they know about my trips to the grocery store or calling for a pizza of Saturday night. I have broken no laws and will be more than happy to allow them to hear what I say. On the other hand, if I were one who is conducting illegal business (drug selling for example), go for it.

It is not that freedom-loving people have to opt for.
If you're looking for a job do you want your boss to know? How about the secret Christmas gifts you buy - do you want those on the internet? Planning a surprise party?
Would you like your bank balances published on Facebook? Credit scores?
Prescriptions medicines? Vacation plans and when your house will be vacant? And on and on...
Privacy is an important element of freedom.
