He has decided that he can make any order, violate any law and that it is a legitimate exercise of executive power — unless someone stops him.

That is what he learned as a Constitutional law professor.

It's what Patrick Henry warned us might happen (although he was talking about the Congress as proposed:

HENRY: I say again that, if you consent to this power, you depend on the justice and equity of those in power. We may be told that we shall find ample refuge in the law of nations. When you yourselves have your necks so low that the President may dispose of your rights as he pleases, the law of nations cannot be applied to relieve you. Sure I am, if treaties are made infringing our liberties, it will be too late to say that our constitutional rights are violated.

"Show me that age and country where the rights and liberties of the people were placed on the sole chance of their rulers being good men, without a consequent loss of liberty! I say that the loss of that dearest privilege has ever followed, with absolute certainty, every such mad attempt.”

I suspect that the soon-to-be RINO-controlled Congress wants it to remain a secret that Congress can repeal executive orders. Congress’s power to do so is evidenced by a clipping recently posted by 11th_VA which is shown below.

I’m not sure how “repealing” a constitutionally indefensible executive order works. Maybe Congress makes a bill to repeal the E.O., and then when the president vetoes it Congress overturns the veto with 2/3 vote of each House. Insights welcome.

Also, maybe RINO-controlled Congress can overturn E.O.s that promoted the constitutionally unprotected gay agenda and likewise constitutionally indefensible federal land grabs, coal mining restrictions, EPA regulations, water rights issues, etc..

More than a few talking heads agree with him even a few on FOX.
