Protesters in Missouri are reportedly planning to shut down Clayton following a grand jury decision on whether a suburban St. Louis officer who shot unarmed teen Michael Brown should face charges.
The protesters want to financially hurt Clayton, a city of roughly 15,000 residents that borders St. Louis, where organizers met late Thursday to hopefully attract hundreds if not thousands of people to show up on the first workday after the grand jury reaches a decision, KTVI reports.
The protesters will meet in public spaces and may spread out in small groups, possibly to take part in civil disobedience like shutting down roads.
We want people to know these meeting are about non-violence direct action, said Michael McPherson, co-chair of the Dont Shoot Coalition. Some of it will be people talking to people, expressing themselves. Theres nothing were doing to try to create violence. We dont want to diminish tension without there being change.(continued)

Direct action against whitey.
Non-violence my ass! They will impede the movements of the people in that city to the point that any effort to get by these people will be met with acts of retaliation. Of course, Holder and the black race baiters will approve.
What did Clayton do? Is this where the police officer who defended his life lives? Or do they just have nicer “stuff” in their stores?
stupid people.
Burn down your own city.........
How many of Obama’s sons will be arrested?
I guess their Wal-Mart got a new shipment of plasmas and 40s.
I’m so sick of this crap.
Why wait?
Why not shut it down now?
I said it soon after the initial riots in Ferguson. Any business stupid enough to physical stock large screen TVs or any other expensive electronics within 50 miles of Ferguson deserves to have their stores looted of these products.
It’s really nice of the rioters and looters to provide such specific advance information. Gives law enforcement and everyone who lives, works, and/or owns in the area to make the necessary preparations.
That’s why armed security companies exist. One of my friends owns one and would gladly send his people there.
Yup - they’re probably all stacked by the back doors, waiting for pickup. No sense unpacking.
Hey - what a great idea I just had! Put a bunch of boxes filled with the garbage in an easily accessible spot....sealed with lots and lots of tape. Then the trash can take home the trash.
They are already practicing the shut down.
Has anyone checked the weather for there? Doesn’t look like any of them did. Probably the heaviest attendance will be freezing law enforcement and reporters. The last won’t be in huge numbers like before as it’s no longer an election issue.
Clayton borders the St.L Zoo. Just sayin’.
Then what?
Clayton is a fairly affluent suburb of St. Louis. My daughter went to Wash U. there (scholarship). It’s a pretty good school, but it’s quite liberal (aren’t they all anymore?). I’m very glad she’s not living there anymore.
