The Washington National Cathedral will host a Muslim prayer service on Friday -- for the first time in American history.
Why is National Cathedral hosting a prayer service for a religion that opposes the teachings of Christianity?
I asked Erwin Lutzer, the pastor of Moody Church, about the significance of this moment. What he told me should be shared!
Pastor Lutzer: "The National Cathedral was dedicated to be a house of worship for Christians.
Although tolerance is a commendable virtue, we might well wonder why this Cathedral will be used to host a prayer service for a religion which opposes the teachings of Christianity.
The message it sends to the nation is that Islam and Christianity are fundamentally the same and only superficially different, when in point of fact the opposite is true: Islam and Christianity are only superficially the same but fundamentally different.

Here is what happened when a Lutheran Church tried this in Germany:
Consider the fate of the Hagia Sophia, a one-time Christian church standing in what today is Istanbul.
Add a couple of minarets, and stock the interior with an armory and bunking facilities, and the National Cathedral would make a great military depot.
"Welcoming people of all faiths
The Cathedral is a spiritual resource for our nation: a great and beautiful edifice in the city of Washington, an indispensable ministry for people of all faiths and perspectives, and a sacred place for our country in times of celebration, crisis, and sorrow."
What a waste of energy for our war torn world, this death cult. We are going to go through score after score of wars to keep this demon at bay.
I argue that communism and this death cult is going to and has retarded the human race all over the globe. Art, Culture, Brotherhood of Man all take few steps back.

The Washington National Cathedral is a functioning cathedral of the Episcopal Church. It has always puzzled me how it could therefore IN ANY WAY be considered America’s “official” house of worship, as designated by acts of Congress, even if it is privately funded. This seems to strike at the heart of the 1st Amendment, which prohibited any sense of our having a national “official” church.
Islamic services can be held here, after the first Jewish service in an Mosque.
I thought the National Cathedral was an informal name just like lots of stuff in DC get named but it was chartered by the Federal Gov’t. So excellent question. Link on this issue:

This is not a prayer service. This is a victory lap that declares this cathedral to now be known as the national Mosque.
Episcopalians love everybody, gays, Muslims.....doesn’t matter, they will welcome any theif that wants to come in and steal the chalice.
The “National Cathedral” is actually the Episcopal Church’s National Cathedral, just like the “Basilica of the National Shrine” in Washington is the Roman Catholic Church’s Basilica of the National Shrine. It’s no more national than Federal Express is federal. Just the Episcopalian Church leadership falling further away from traditional Christianity.
God will not be mocked. For us, as a nation, that fact alone is scary.
