President Obama’s Affordable Care Act will face a substantial new test starting Saturday, when the second enrollment period for buying health insurance under the law begins and proponents embark on a three-month mission to persuade millions more Americans to sign up.
Officials running the revamped online insurance exchanges are promising a smoother enrollment experience this time, after spending heavily on website overhauls and simplifying the application process. Outreach groups are rolling out different strategies, from holding “pop-up” enrollment events at shopping malls to bluntly emphasizing the tax penalties that many Americans will face if they fail to get covered. And the Obama administration is redoubling efforts to sign up young adults, members of minority groups and rural residents, who remain disproportionately uninsured.

But the current enrollment period brings with it complications. It will last only three months — half the length of the initial one, which ran from October through March. And this time around, the insurance exchanges will be juggling two roles: signing up new customers, many of whom may be resistant or hard to reach, and trying to ensure that the seven million people who enrolled for 2014 remain covered.

Since the GOP now controls nearly everything, why do they not simply dump this corrupt Obama Care which, based on their own words was forced on the “Stupid American tax paying voters”?
And the bigger question is, why would they not impeach Obama due to all the lies and fraud?

Why is there such a narrow window to enroll? With traditional private insurance couldn’t you enroll at any time?
Well for one thing, they haven’t even been sworn in yet...give them a chance! It will take a few months to get even some of their legislation off the ground...I agree they must be more publicly assertive, and push back against this faux ‘immigration reform’ etc., but they are going to need some time, please be patient!

I can't wait....Just think in a few months we'll have secured borders, deportations of those here illegally, government will be dramatically reduced at all levels, endless chain immigration will end, taxes will be slashed, common sense trade laws which actually benefit Americans will be enacted etc...

Yes and no. Pre-Obamacare, at least in my state, private individual medical insurance was open-enrollment all year long, but employer-sponsored plans generally had an enrollment period only at this time of year.
Now all plans in my state are like Obamacare. You can not buy medical insurance at other times of the year unless you qualify for one of the exceptions or Medicaid..
This is mainly done so people can't wait until they're sick to purchase insurance. That's the official explanation anyway.

The forecast was 13 million involuntary participants. The facts that they delayed opening the exchanges until after the election and that they are working hard to reduce expectations should tell us how that’s going to go this year. I’m guessing 9 million at most, and that’s counting illegals and fictional participants (the fake doctors still get paid subsidies for fake patients, so this will be a great opportunity for democrats who specialize in fraud).
