Are more likely reason is that the BLS statistics are lies: they want the unemployment rate to appear much lower than it is.
At what point I still wonder does the public finally completely doubt the numbers? For instance, the moment they realize inflation is more like 6% than 2%, will it be too late and we will be well into a inflationary spiral?
