ObamaCare: A memo acquired by Fox News says that President Obama is due any day now to announce amnesty for 4.5 million illegal aliens. But don't worry: They'll get health insurance. And U.S. taxpayers will pay for it.
One of the most costly elements of ObamaCare has been its massive expansion of Medicaid, the state-run health insurance program intended to cover poor families.
As reported by Breitbart's Big Government, a new study by the Center for Immigration Studies has found something shocking: Namely, that from 2011 through 2013, as ObamaCare was first being rolled out, 42% of all new Medicaid enrollees were immigrants.
Because illegal immigrants are poorer and less likely to have insurance than legal immigrants, it's a good bet that Obama's coming legalization of 4.5 million illegals will create an unparalleled surge in Medicaid spending as they sign up for benefits. That's especially true in a state like California, where an estimated 25% of all illegal immigrants in the U.S. live.
Democrats aren't going to fix this. You see, in ObamaCare, this isn't a "bug." It's a feature.

It is not a meme. They may work, and work hard but.......most are undereducated and make crap pay....so they qualify for benefits. Also they have so many kids that with their pay they qualify for benefits. A family of 6 with one person working at a small wage gets a lot of benefits.
I believe it is possible that most illegal immigrants come to work hard AND suck up welfare benefits.
Why not? They're available.

You are right Skeeter. I live in California and at one time worked for the welfare dept as an eligibility worker so have seen it first hand. They work and report a small wage and collect a lot of benefits. If the parents are illegal they collect benefits on all their American born kids.
They know all the ins and outs of every program.
It is going to be the final nail in the coffin of ObamaCare too. Not a bad thing.
While I agree with the sentiment I disagree with your assumption. Obamacare and Amnesty will live long past the death of liberty and it will be thanks to the GOP and the DNC.
The American people don’t matter anymore just the “interest” groups. Why else is that thing most americans don’t want placed in such importance in DC by the Oligarchy.

I've had dealings with illegals in FL, TX, CO and PA. In every case of those that I knew they were collecting welfare and working under the table, using the ER for the doctor and not paying the bill.
He wants to bleed the country into bankruptcy.

A lot of fuzzy math and divine providence attends to the whole situation. I take comfort in a couple of things, not the least of which is that the Creator ultimately knows what He is doing.
Mathematically there is the reality that, in our country, very few people participate in the democratic process of late, largely because they are either too busy working or unaffected by the negatives inherent in socialist propensities. Assuming the greater part of the population has a conscience, Democrat overreach will awaken a hornet’s nest the like of which they have never seen. It’s already happening.
Only 1/6 of the total population voted for Zero last time around, and most of them regret it. Yes, amnesty would bring another 5 million into a country of 300 million. Do not assume every single one of these people is intent on being a slave to Democrats and a sloth intent on feeding from the trough. Many perhaps, but even mathematically, they cannot tip the nation totally over the brink unless we altogether are apathetic.
Don’t think for a minute that freedom is dead, let alone peaceable government and prosperity. The sun will rise, and the day it does not, this, too is good, because the Creator knows and does all things well.

Why don't they start with securing the border first? Have a bill that does just that- nothing else. If it gets vetoed- we'll know these people aren't serious about solving this problem.

I'm pretty sure the current wiggle hole that the liberals hide in is that illegals don't collect benefits, those are for American citizens who just happen to be their children... I think illegals should be deported. So if you identify yourself as an illegal at the benefits office, you should get a nice ride on a bus back home; a boat if there's an ocean between here and your home.

WTF is wrong with our government?
Anchor baby gets the benefits, the parents just count as bodies for qualification for higher benefits (which I know is very much the same thing as them getting benefits directly.) Considering how hard liberals go out of their way to recruit illegals into the system, seems like that's the problem here. When Reagan offered amnesty, less than half even bothered to file the first round of paperwork, much less complete the process.
I agree that most come to work and to better themselves -- but do they have the skills that are needed for the US workforce today in 2014, and if they don't have the skills, then what?
Does the US really need to attract more unskilled, poorly educated, low wage workers? How many more can the US economy support? If there were a shortage of such workers, would their unemployment rate be as high as it is?
