Texas Sen. John Cornyn, deputy leader of the Senate’s newly empowered Republicans, laid out a vision Wednesday for an era of cooperation — a chance “to restore faith in our democratic institutions” after years of partisan strife.
He promised Democrats a fair shot at putting their ideas to a vote — a departure from the heavy-handed approach their own leaders took toward Republicans in recent years. He also warned that the new majority won’t tolerate unilateral action by the White House on immigration.

There is no surprise here. Dems know they can do anything and the Repubs will still “respect” the Dem’s “rights and opinions”. That’s why this country is in the position it is, the Repub leadership only attacks its conservative base, not the real “enemy” Reid and the Dems.

This fool is exactly the type of "Republican" that the Democrats like to have in Congress. When he's in the majority, he stresses cooperation to make Congress look good. When he's in the minority, he accepts whatever beatings the Dems give him with a smile. In all cases, he goes along to get along.

Maybe now that RINOs control the Senate they will start reading the Constitution out loud, particularly Congress’s Article I, Section 8-limited powers, at the beginnings of new legislative sessions and then ignore it like the RINO-controlled House does.
Cornyn is far from a RINO...but he’s also no Ted Cruz, either. But then who else is?

These people are idiots. They do not have pattern recognition.
For at least 20 years now, whenever the Democrats are in charge they either threaten to or strip the Republicans of their power in the senate and the house. But when Republicans are in charge, EVEN BEFORE THE ELECTIONS, they promise a “return to fairness”.
It’s not working, you dimwits. Fighting a dirty fighter with one hand behind your back just means you lose.
